Smile which would you prefer? - December 14th 2011, 02:26 PM

hey im not really sure what to put but well.. obviously its christmas soon and well basically, i wanna ask men, in all honesty, would you prefer a nice, expensive jumper or your partner to get you some sexy lingerie?

its my bf and i first christmas and i havent been able to get him much as im broke atm so far ive gotten him a cd, a dvd, a book, a cook book and some food decorations (he loves cooking) and a lord of the rings - one ring. but i dont know which of these would be a better present, its just he has gone all out and i wanna make it as perfect as possible in return.

i am also making a sort of token thing where he can use tokens e.g i'll cook, massage, hug me etc. and im writing him a letter of all my fav memories with him and the memories im looking forward to (we're movin in together soon !)

thankyou if you managed to get through all this haha sorry it was long

Oh my god - so I'm aware that relationships are all different, but here's my honest opinion: You've really bought him all of that?! I can't tell if you mean to give him one of them or all of them. (cd, book, etc) If all, that does not read like a first christmas together to me unless maybe you met on the first of january and it's been just about a year. Even then it feels a bit overboard to me... and personally, I wouldn't bother with adding on either the lingerie or a jumper. But that's just when I think about the relationships I've been in/those around me..

How all out is he going? Because yeah, you don't want it to be one sided, but at the same time, you're young and don't have loads of money...

eta - Sorry, reading back and aware this reads as kind of critical. It's not so much criticism as surprise, I promise. Whatever you end up doing I'm sure he'll love it - and good luck when you move in!

well my boyfriend, bless his heart, has filled my flat with christmas and currently there is a present the size of a bookcase in the middle of the room as well as many others under the tree. he has been planning it for months, literally, i remember him getting all excited about it lol. we have been going out for 8 months but a lot has happened in our relationship and basically we have been living together for about 6/7 months.
