Need help planning a party - January 29th 2012, 09:20 PM

One of my best friends is turning 16 soon, and I'm helping her plan a party. She's never had a birthday party before because she has never had that many friends so her parents usually just take the family to the beach. Basically we need help coming up with ideas. It won't be a big party; just about 5 of us. None of us are into the typical teenage girl things such as fashion, makeup, and that kind of stuff. My friends doesn't have a ton of hobbies that would be easy to plan around. She plays a lot of videogames, likes rock/metal music, horses, acting crazy with the people she knows, etc. There is a guy coming so we can't do a sleepover. She talked about wanting to go somewhere and wants to do something out of the ordinary. Yeah, any ideas would be greatly appreciated; thanks

I don't know where in the USA you live, but in the midwestern area, Dave and Busters is really popular. It's new and exciting, it's great for parties, has lots of video games, AND party/group games, good food, they usually play rock music, and its a great place to act crazy That's what I think would be the perfect party idea. Everyone could pitch in their tickets together to get something awesome for your friend from the prize shop. I'll admit the amount of tickets you need for something nice in the shop is RIDICULOUS, hence why everyone pitches in for the birthday gal.

If not Dave and Busters, surely you can find an arcade somewhere nearby. Might have to drive a little bit, but make it a surprise, don't tell her where she's going

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

Oh my gosh, that would be perfect! I wish they had a place like that around here (I live in boring old North Carolina). There might still be an arcade place like that that could work though. I'll look into it. Thanks.
