What have you done today to make you feel proud? - June 13th 2015, 03:16 PM

This is from a show I watch, but it's a good question to ask yourself every day. It can be little things like doing self care or bigger things.

Today I went out of my comfort zone and wore a sleeveless top even though I'm very self-conscious of the scars on my shoulders. It was really hot out and I did it! Yay.

So the question is, what did you do today to make you feel proud of yourself?

“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill

Volunteered with my city's health department at a health fair, handing out sunscreen, freebies, and information. Funny enough I put on sunscreen and still burned, waaaah. BUT it was a fun time.

I love this thread!

I went to a store and actually made the transaction myself and was social with the cashier which was a big step for me.

I took my kitten to the vet and got him taken care of. Also made some appointments for myself for a haircut and the doctor.

I cleaned my bedroom after it looked like an explosion went off in there!

Re: What have you done today to make you feel proud? - June 24th 2015, 11:00 PM

I told my girlfriend that she was precious to me...but then she came at me with, "Do you have a girlfriend?" Being flustered I thought she meant to text that to someone else, but no...it was meant directly at me. So, I told her "You're my girlfriend" & she said "I know that, but do you have another one?" To which I replied "No, I don't."

But yeah that made me proud telling her my feelings...only to get them questioned at the end. NBD

I went downstairs and talked to a new person.
I called my landlord (they didn't pick up, but I still made the call).
