Hey, guys. I am reading a great historical resource that will be interesting to everyone and will be useful for learning. I learned about the lives and activities of women in American history. Did you know who are Eliza Hamilton, Dorothea Dix, Sojourner Truth? You may have heard about them, but I would recommend to get acquainted with their lives in more detail.

Only about 25 pages into this. It's a large book so it might take me most of August to complete. I've been wanting to read this since last year and only now got to it! I am enjoying what I have read.

I've just finished this (it's book one). I could easily see how the writer manipulated the reader's emotions and I considered some parts where the characters were miraculously saved weak. Still that damned book engrossed me completely - to such an extent that I devoured it in merely a week, reading while eating and performing other tasks that definitely shouldn't be intertwined with reading. Anyway, I recommend it to anyone interested in fantasy and something not of the overly ambitious type, compelling, light-hearted and well-written nonetheless.

If you liked mistborn you might like The Shadow of What Was Lost. It's been said to have Sanderson vibes and I get why. I've been devouring it. I've read 165 pages in two days which might not seem like a lot but I've been reading 40 pages a day, at most, for most the books I've read this year.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely try more Sanderson books now.

I read my entire abnormal psych book this summer semester but haven't read anything for fun in a while.

Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

Currently I'm bored with book two of Mistborn (I'm kinda disappointed because I believe the second book is way worse and duller than the first one). So I'm reading Pomnik Cesarzowej Achai by Andrzej Ziemiański, which I don't think is translated into other languages, but I'm not sure. It's a sequel to a trilogy Achaia that definitely has been translated. I find some chapters less interesting than others, but all in all I like it.

I didn't end up finishing it. The story was slow and I needed something a bit faster paced. I think that when I'm in a better reading mood that I'd end up liking it as I'm intrigued to find out what happens to the characters. I think the first book is going to be a bit more about building the world and introducing you to the characters and books like that start slow.
Also, mistborn two was slower. I think it picks up towards the end. I really enjoyed the trilogy. I hope if you end up picking it up again you'll enjoy it.

Going to attempt to read it at a later date this month or something like that.

After reading the 4th book of Achaja I switched to A darker shade of magic by Schwab. Enjoying it so far. Then I'll probably move on to the 5th and the last book of Achaja.

Let me know what you think of this one! I actually ended up liking it quite a bit. I read it years ago but the ending stuck with me or pieces of it did.
Did you know she has another novel coming out this year? I believe it comes out in October. I believe it comes out towards the end of that month but I could be mistaken.

Going to attempt to read this for book club. It seems like it could be interesting and I might relate to some things. Just not sure I'm in the mood for it.

I wasn't sure about it when I started it but by the end I really enjoyed it. It was quite funny in places but I identified a lot with the character in other ways. Worth a read at some point!
