Great News. - March 31st 2016, 02:59 AM

The Australian government has called an election! Well, not really, but the Prime Minister has said that if Australian Building and Construction Commission Bills do not pass parliament, then the government will use a Constitutional loophole to send us to the polls on July 2, a Saturday. The devisor of that date should be sacked. The ABCC bills, realistically, will not pass parliament. Do you have any advice on elections? I am finding it difficult to contain my squee.

I have only voted twice in my life but it is such an amazing thing, you feel so powerful, marching in to the toll booths and such, and although I think that the electoral system should be radically changed (mandatory voting to be abolished, monkey voters to be banned for three elections, et cetera), I.... hang on one moment.

SQUEE! .

My advice: If academics don't back up a candidate's claims, then don't vote for them. They're either in somebody else's pocket or they're stupid.
Trust me... mandatory voting is such a blessing. Some of our jackass leaders in America try to make people pay for voting licenses, which decreases voter output among the poor people who would vote them out.

Wish I lived in Canada. UPDATE, NOV. 9th, 2016: This statement has become even more appropriate.
I vow that I will attack this endeavor with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. Jim Harbaugh
