I think its great. It unifies the European countries, sets guidelines for human rights which must be followed to maintain your position in the union, encourages trade and helps economy, as well as making travel in Europe much simpler.

It really makes them stronger. And it can pervent wars, because no one will want to mess with 500 million people.

The countries are more united which builds a strong relationship.

EU is probaly more powerful than the US, in military power.

Cuz of the sheer geographic size, population, nuclear powers. And a diverse economy.

U dont want to mess with Germany, France and England in one team lol.

and the rest can be cannon fodder lol

I'm all for it. Being united with other countries can really help some of the lesser developed countries within the EU as there is no taxing on trade with each other. People from an EU country can also travel freely to another country within the EU (not actually FREE, just, you know they're able to ) which I think helps create a sense of unity.
At least, that's what my geography teacher taught me. Blame him if any of that's wrong.

It's good when dealing with a country like Turkey, who really wants to join EU. They are changing their policies and whatnot to appeal to other countries to get into the EU. Good to see that it is liberalizing some countries.

Ahem. Don't be over-simplifying things. Spain has Eurofighters and Sweden has some uber-cool fighter jets which can take off from roads (sweet!). And a lot of the smaller countries have focused on Special Services operations.

turkey still has a long way to go though. it's not a nice place to live for a lot of people.

anyhowww.. yeah, i think the EU is good. we'd be in a far worse position if we weren't part of it so i don't see how its doing any harm.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

Isn't the U.S. Military basically Germany's military? I don't know for sure, but I know thats how it is in Japan. And I do know that there are multiple U.S. Military bases in Germany.

Of course, but the benefits of EU encourage poorer countries to westernize.

A large part of the overseas forces reside in Germany, for easier access to the rest of the world.

No. Germany has a MASSIVE air force. However many US squadrons are based in Germany on overseas mobilisations because they became friendly during the Cold War (when Germany didn't have much of a military). It's the whole NATO buddies thing.
