Channel 4 doc on teenage FtM trans guy.

I guess I'm partially posting this just for the awareness, and partially because I kinda know the guy, so I feel I should spread it for him.

I find it quite interesting that this was the first UK family to go in a documentary, but hey, at least its getting done. And it's on an FtM, not MtF

This is the first FtM case I've seen publicised in the UK... it's a good thing that they're finally broadening their outlooks (Y) Although I'm not sure if the documentary will actually do anything for the masses; but it's still something (:

well he's doing it more for awareness to other trans kids, because if you arent on the trans youth scene, you probably dont know many if any other trans youth, so knowing you aren't alone is always good. But hopefully it'll help trans in the broader society too.

And yeah, other then in Diva, I think this might be at least one of the first FtMs the UK media have published, which is cool.

That is cool... I don't even know what Diva is xD
Yeah, I hadn't actually thought about reaching out to the trans-youth stupidly, it'll really help those who aren't in the LGBT scene or anything, which is definitely a plus (Y) Just as long as kids with intolerant parents can watch it without them being around...

Re: Channel 4 doc on teenage FtM trans guy.

If you want to get in contact with an established group of trans youth, contact me, and I'll direct you to some forums, they do meets and stuff. It'd be easier then trying to do it through the gay scene. Too many gays are still transphobic >.> or at least ignorant.

And Diva is a lesbian magazine, so not really mainstream media, but they did a suprisingly good issue on gender I've heard.
