Hi Everyone!!

Scientists have discovered a, "watery world orbiting a very nearby and very small star"!

They have called that planet 'GJ 1214b'.

I'm no scientist - but even I could have thought of a better name!! lol

My bags are packed!! lol

Click on THIS to read all about it.

GREAT BIG HUG

Ah sweet, I can't wait to open a McDonalds on it!

Often I lie wide awake, thinking of things I could make.
But I don’t seem to have the parts to build them.
I am so scared of what will kill me in the end, for I am not prepared.
I hope I will get the chance to be someone, to be human.

It's all very exciting, but to be honest I'm attached to this little lump of rock despite all its flaws.

The atoms that make up you and me were born in the hearts of suns many times greater than ours, and in time our atoms will once again reside amongst the stars. Life is but an idle dalliance of the cosmos, frail, and soon forgotten. We have been set adrift in an ocean whose tides we are only beginning to comprehend and with that maturity has come the realization that we are, at least for now, alone. In that loneliness, it falls to us to shine as brightly as the stars from which we came.

It would take too long to get there! Besides, there's nothing wrong with this one. Apart from those pesky humans.

Very interesting news though!
Although, given the size of the universe, there should be planets like this one, the possibility there are ones like this, is certain, really. If you believe the Universe is infinite, then there are an infinite number of planets like ours.

This is an awesome discovery, although I doubt I would want to live on an extremely hot planet, especially if it is that close to it's sun.

I'm pretty happy here, and I'm not willing to travel for 40 years at the speed of light for a planet that "probably does have liquid water,".

Hm, intriguing. I heard about this recently. It's a nice discovery, but...it is way too hot there! Plus, Earth would be perfectly suitable if we would stop polluting it. We would do the same to another planet.

I like how Agent Smith from The Matrix puts it. We're not mammals. There's no equilibrium. Humans go to a place, wreak havoc on the ecosystem, destroy it, then move. There's only one other organism on the planet that does that. Humans are viruses....

Sorry, kinda off topic, but it just came to mind and I thought I'd share
