2-year old Genius -
June 24th 2011, 04:57 PM
Read this:
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/boy-two-tak...125110678.html Lol... in a few months this kid will probably be sneaking onto NASA spacecraft and smuggling illegal space alien immigrants into Europe in return for cash-in-hand. My best great escape as a kid was when I was 7 years old. I tried running out of the bank when my mum took me there. I didn't even notice the front doors where closed, because they were made of glass and polished. I ran down some stairs first too just to get more momentum and nearly broke my face on the door. It didn't even open the right way for me. Opened to the inside lol. If you've got some spare time, read this:

That's pretty bad really. You'd think that parents would keep an eye on the kid. It's a good thing no-one dodgy was on the bus or it may not have turned out quite as well as this did.

How is he a genius really? All he did was ride the bus.

Not a genius but a normal kid.. I bet everyone has a story about trying to escape when they were younger.

No sense of humour. Does everything have to be taken so seriously? Nobody got hurt and hopefully the parents learnt their lesson.

He's just a normal kid. I am curious as to where his parents were, however. If you lose a two year old for that amount of time and you don't notice, then something is seriously wrong.

I wish my almost 2 year old would sit still that long
lol.Crazy though that neither of the teenagers he was sitting beside thought it was weird that a toddler was all by himself taking a bus ride. When reality is a prison, your mind can set you free. |

This actually happened not too far from where I live...why can't my area ever get into the news for the right reasons? Before this we had the story of the man trying to take a pony onto a train in another town nearby - it's just not good publicity.

Hey
I agree how careless of the parents of this child how do you not notice that the young boy has gone missing. It would have been easy for the teenagers on the bus to think that he was with someone else on the bus not everybody sits with who they are travelling with. Dave I feel sorry for your area but everything seems funny what happens there.I have another thing how did the driver not notice when he got on was he too small that the driver couldn't see him over the chair thing they sit in. Motto of this story always watch you child Chaazza |

the kid escaped and got on a bus. I would not call that negletful. I would just say the kid got on the bus and was quite happy on the bus. It does not say whether the parents noticed their child was missing and were searching for their child themselves. Kids escape one of the parents where I work was telling me that their child of 4 had opened the door and with 10p in their pocket they had walked to the end of the road and stood there till some kind old lady stopped to ask them what they were doing out alone so young. The child simply told the lady ' i'm going to the shop to buy some candy for me and my brother but I need someone to help me cross the road' So the lady helped her across the road and to the shop. Where a few moments later the mother (the parent who told me this) came into the shop where she found her child.
Kids escape. It happens. Neglect - no. careless parenting - perhaps. Kid do escape. some kids can open doors and get out. Maybe the child in the story who got the bus did just this and was just waiting for someone to help them off the bus at the right stop ? But it seems no one considered this and just got the parents arrested for neglect. If people such as the police did this for every escaped child - most parents would be in jail. The example I gave of a child where age 4 where I work is a classic example of this - the parents did not go to jail. They were not arrested nor had any interference from the police ect. Why ? because it was simply not needed, just a child going to the shop. Similar to the story in the first post about the child who got the bus and travelled 27 miles. ![]() the girl who always seemed unbreakble finally BROKE the girl who seemed strong CRUMBLED the girl who always laughed CRIED the girl who never stopped trying finally GAVE UP she let her fake smile fade and as she did a tear rolled down her cheek and she whispered ' i can't do this anymore' The moment Rob spammed in chat : 10:49 [Rob] Omgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg gg it's Christmas! |

I'm a member of a moms forum and there are women on there all the time telling stories about how their toddlers would sneak out of bed, unlock the door and go for a stroll after every one is asleep. Probably should have taken better precautions, but who thinks their kid would actually do that? Probably a very similar situation with this little one. He's probably been on a bus before and thought it be fun to take a quick trip while mom and dad weren't looking. Or I could be wrong and they are extremely neglectful and were really not making any attempt to watch after their son at all. Its hard to say. When reality is a prison, your mind can set you free. |

It is hard to say as the news story does not give any information as to whether or not the parents were watching their kid and whilst their backs were turned their kid has escaped. Nor does it say if the kid's parents were looking for the child. I don't think it is right the parents were arrested. But what I do think is wrong that No - body on the bus questioned the toddle as to where their parents were. The parents are not just to blame in this. The public is to blame in this as-well. So before we all say the parents are bad parents lets all cut them slack and give them the benefit of the doubt.
Yes some parents do treat their kids badly ect but not all parents do. Why should we immediately assume the parents were being neglectful ? We shouldn't. I myself can remember as a child getting into my mothers car once it had been unlocked (I must have about 6 ) she had put the keys the ignition. And I sat in the front seat turning the steering wheel telling myself I'm going to drive to the park. Now in reality this could not have happened as my feet could not reach the pedal nor had I turned the keys, But I'm pretty sure If I did manage to drive the car the press would have got hold of it or something and would have said my mum is a bad parent when really It would have my fault as I did when my mums back was turned. Luckily the car did not go anywhere. |

Careless parenting could be considered neglect. I don't think they should be arrested but they need to watch their kid better from now on.
"'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.' I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish. 'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.' 'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said. 'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'" |
