Worried girlfriend might be pregnant - March 16th 2009, 06:16 PM

Me and my girl friend had sex for the first time last month .I think it was one 16th and this month she have not gotten her period yet.I did not use any protection and we did use the natural planning method and counted the days when she will probably be ovulating.Well to be honest when we did it,it was like almost 14th days after her period so knowing that..i did not penetrate fully inside of her. Most of the time i kinda failed at penetrating but there was once that i felt like i got inside of her but not fully..So my question is what are the chances of her getting pregnant when she is a virgin after all and there is no full penetration..I did not ejaculate in her but now we might be worried that my precum might make her pregnant now since she has not had her period yet.Its been almost a month now and also she does not have any signs of pregnancy also like morning sickness or vomiting etc etc...

Her being a virgin has nothing to do with the chances of pregnancy. It's impossible to tell when exactly a girl is ovulating too, by the way. It is possible for pre-cum to cause pregnancy as it carries sperm as well. The only way for her to know for sure is to get a pregnancy test and get examined at the doctor's office, however.

Re: Worried girlfriend might be pregnant - March 16th 2009, 06:26 PM

It doesn't sound like there's too great a chance that she's pregnant, but there's always at least a very small chance. If her period is already late, she can go ahead and take a pregnancy test and see what it says. We can't really tell you whether or not we think she's pregnant because none of us know. All she can do is take a test and see where that goes.

Good luck. If you'd like to talk, let me know.

Hey.

With unprotected sex, there's always a chance of pregnancy. Being a virgin makes absolutely no difference.

If her periods are messed up in general, she might want to go see a doctor.

Actually, her best bet would be to just go see a doctor. They'll be able to tell her once and for all and you can stop worrying. =]

Just be more careful next time.

Why didn't you use a condom? If you went through the trouble of trying to do nfp (which by the way, she would have to monitor her periods for awhile, along with other things to see when she ovulates, cervical mucus, cervical position, etc and also btw, if her periods are irregular, the 14 day thing is moot. It only is that way if one's cycle is a perfect 28 day cycle) why didn't you go to the store to get a condom? Tell her to take a home pregnancy test or go to the doctor to get one.

There is always a chance of pregnancy when you have sex. Since it's been a month, you could take a pregnancy test to see if she is pregnant. If you're going to keep having sex, you need to be use condoms and she needs to get on birth control.

I've asked her to get the pregnancy test kit..It says its best to wait till the morning for the test since her pee is the most concentrated..Well anyways i got a whole day to start freaking out and worrying now..Pray that nothing happens then

Well the pregnancy test kit came back negative thank god..But my girl friend did not do the test in the morning like it is recommended..But it came back negative so we are safe right?

its always advised that you do another test to make sure. you can still get negative result if you are pregnant!

Re: Worried girlfriend might be pregnant - March 20th 2009, 03:03 AM

It depends. Had she urinated within the last four hours prior to using the test? if so, her urine may have been too diluted for the hormone level to be high enough. Have her test in about a week if her period doesn't show, and that time do it with first morning urine.

also
like you said before, her periods been off,
sometimes if you become highly active in activities like working out or eacting certain foods with higher or lower portions of sugar,
that can cause a difference also.

If she is pregnant by now her breast is gonna be a 100% sore and tender right? It's been almost a month when we had sex so if she is pregnant her breast a gonna be sore for sure?If she does not feel that way then could it be she is not pregnant then?

Re: Worried girlfriend might be pregnant - March 20th 2009, 03:16 PM

My breast didn't get sore the first time I was pregnant but they have been through my second one so that isn't a good indicator. The only thing you can do is wait a week or two and do the test in the morning. Even if you went to a doctor they aren't going to tell her yes or no till they do a test. So we can't tell you yes or no. All I can say is there is a chance so test again and if it negative and she still hasn't gotten her period then I would see a doctor. I hope it works out for you.

By the way you still need to use a condom when you have sex even though you think she is or might be. Take Care.

If you're still doubtful, you may want to consider consulting a doctor for an in office pregnancy test.

Well u said u didnt get all the way in, or barely got in, so shes not technically a virgin, but then u said there was one point that u felt like u were inside of her.
Welllllll that scared me when i lost mine and "skipped". All it takes is one little prick to break the hymen, and really a girl losing her virginity can make her cycle go all screwy. It did it to me. I lost mine, the following monday i was supposed to start, and i didnt get one for like 2 months

Ya i read somewhere that if a girl had sex for the first time it might probably mess up her cycle.Well i have been with my girl friend for nearly 2 years now and before that we have been friends for 3.We only tried to have sex recently but eventually i kind of stopped it cause she told me she was near her cycle and that is why i said i entered half way.Well she did the test again and it is negative so we are sure she is not pregnant,i hope .Anyways we cannot afford to have a baby now because she is still in university but is about to graduate soon. The only reason that i did not plan on using a condom its because i don't expect we are going to have sex..and we talked about doing it the first time without one..i know stupid of me..Well hopefully its a false alarm this time and her period has not come till now..

ohhh nooo if u considered not using a condom the first time, thats bad! My first time i didnt use a condom and discovered it felt way better without one than it did with one, and not just for me either....the pleasure is quite addicting
