H.R. 822, please hurry up.

Often I lie wide awake, thinking of things I could make.
But I donít seem to have the parts to build them.
I am so scared of what will kill me in the end, for I am not prepared.
I hope I will get the chance to be someone, to be human.

I don't think this is right at all. I would understand where new york is coming from; but she seemed just an innocent lady that wanted to have her gun checked because of a sign she saw. She strictly meant no harm.

I'd be very surprised if a jury convicts her on this charge - it sounds like someone in the DA's office has gone off on a power trip when they signed off that charge sheet. Expect this to go the same way as the Jonathan Ryan case.

As for H.R. 822...not going to go there.

It is a double edged sword. We are told we have a right to bear a weapon, yet this woman is being punished for doing so. I can't believe they actually arrested her. She didn't mean any harm. She was unaware of the law. I guess the officer felt she was a threat to society and decided to lock her up. I don't think she will get any jail sentences. At most she will probably receive some sort of fine. She needs a decent attorney, and she will be alright.

I've heard another story like this. My former social studies teacher just went to New York when that happened. He tried to take a picture of some of the things that happened. Then the cops started chasing after him, just for taking the pictures. So they took his camera away from him. So the camera doesn't seem as bad as the gun does, but that's just me.
