Texas Judge For Marriage Equality - February 25th 2012, 02:28 AM

http://gma.yahoo.com/gay-texas-judge...-abc-news.html

All I have to say is hell yeah! It's really nice to see a Texas Judge (or any state official) to publicly defend their support for LGBT marriage equality.

I've had really little hope for Texas making headway in the marriage equality department, but I'm glad to see someone in authority is making a stand. Hopefully many more will follow.

Hm... on one hand I see the point she is trying to make, but on the other hand I'm wondering if this will wind up backfiring and putting a negative light on the LGBT community for being so cold towards traditional heterosexual couples. Hm... I want to see if this will provoke some positive change.

Hiiii Alex. I missed you. :P

Yeah, I can see what you're saying. But I don't think she is being "cold" about it; I think she is just stating her position to them. I mean, there are tons of other judges in the state of Texas; it's not like they are really suffering for lack of one performing marriage ceremonies. Honestly I just like the awareness it's raising, and the fact that out of all the primarily Republican state judges, one is making a point.
