Scientology and Homosexuals - July 31st 2013, 05:27 AM

Right now my religion is sort of agnostic christian. I have recently done some research on Scientology and became very intrigued and was close to joining the Scientology church here in California.

However I consider myself a bisexual male, which in religions eyes is a homosexual male which I really don't give a fuck nor do I care. I'm not confused and I can't help what I'm attracted to.

Long story short, I found out through some sources the Scientology church is very homophobic and at least in Christianity, there are some churches that welcome all people.

So basically I want to know from you guys, is the Scientology religion homophobic or is that just wrong information I recieved?

First off it shouldn't be the blatant homophobia that turns you off of Scientology Edit

Secondly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scient...al_orientation (yeah yeah wikipedia is a bad source, etc etc, please, just read it then follow up by reading the sources)

To be frank, I found out some of my favorite celebrities are apart of Scientology so I figured it was something inertly different.

I'm not going to support something that doesn't support me back. I'm also not changing who I am. Homosexuality isn't a disease.

Off-topic a bit, but I'm really not sure what you saw in this religion in the first place. what drew you to it besides celebrities?

From what I know about Scientologist (and its not much), they seem pretty peticular about what they want and I would think they would be highly homophobic. But like the person above me posted, just out of curiosity, why did you want to join the church anyway? They are kind of, out there to put it nicely. They can really mess up your life if you suddenly want to be out of the church someday. Its more like a cult than a religion if you ask me. They brainwash everyone, including the little kids into believing by listening to them and only them, they will all be sucessful in life.
