Question Do you go? - May 5th 2014, 07:35 AM

Do you worship at your religious place such as church, temple, etc?

I'm not a believing person, so I don't. It's against my beliefs.

I don't go often, but sometimes you'll find me at church. I'm godfather to both of my niflings, so I'm there for them sometimes. Or when the church does a music-based service (can't remember the name now).

Of if my sister asks nicely, coz she's a priest.

Feel free to email/PM/VM/whatever me if you want. I'll answer as soon as I can.

I was brought up like that and yes, I believe In God

I try to go regularly when I can - sometimes it isn't possible to do so, either because I'm not in the area or other commitments get in the way, but I like going and seeing the people I know there so I try not to miss it too often.

I don't know of any free membership groups in my area that are Hellenistic, and the closest Jashinists to my hometown are in different states. So I don't go anywhere to worship. I stay at home and worship by myself, or sometimes when my Jashinist friends are online, I like to do a quick prayer as a form of long-distance worship. Other than that, I'm on my own. I've grown to accept the fact that my religious beliefs will never gain popularity or respect in America, so I will never expect to find a physical place of worship here. It still would be nice, though.

Im heavily against Church so nope.
If you ask me its just a building. Holy water is just water. If you put it under a microscope its H2O. It doesnt have God in it, it doesnt burn demons. Its water.
Same with religious. You dont have to be in one to prove your religion or devotion to a higher force/God. Same if you dont go to any of it it doesnt make you a bad person. Or if you dont believe in God. You arent a bad person...
Im getting out of topic:
Yes I do when I have to.

Re: Do you go? - May 7th 2014, 09:59 PM

I worship my god(s) with every breath and step, simply with existence. And I don't need a special place to dedicate myself to the universe outside, within and infinity.
That being said, I'm not a believer or a follower of any religion. Though it's still relevant to point out: the lord is one and everywhere. The lord is within us. Communities (churches, temples, groups etc.) such as that have nothing to do with it. They are just another place to express yourself, your faith. It's beautiful seeing every person having the opportunity to express his/her spirituality in what-ever way they wish to do or try.

I haven't been to a church in quite some time. I think it can be a great place to go and worship but I don't think it is necessary.

I used to go, but then they got all weird because I'm a lesbian... so I tend to stray away from churches. However, I'm still a believer and I worship on my own time. I do think that church can be good for some people, I just haven't found the one for me yet.

My place of worship? Bed on Sunday.
I'm there every week, like clockwork.

I do go to church, on a Sunday and then there's usually a few things on in the week I go to. Yes I worship there, but I also worship at home and other places.
