Ouija Boards - October 25th 2014, 01:37 AM

Today I started using a homemade Ouija board, because I got curious. I believed previous that demons exist, I don't know what I'm talking to through this. But, I believe I am talking to something other than my subconscious, as the board has actually spelled out words that I did not previously know before using the board (after I finished, I had to Google the words). What is your opinion on or experience with a Ouija board?

Iím sceptical

The only time I have ever done a Ouija board was in school with my friends, when I was about 10, and it was obvious that they were spelling names of their relatives. Other than that, I havenít done it on my own.

I don't rule out the possibility that they could work. However, I personally do not believe in demons, so I would venture to guess that its spirits.

I am very skeptical of ouija boards. Have you tried doing some google searches to get some answers about them? You might find more information that way. I am sure there are varying degrees of information out there that a simple google search would help you find.

I personally don't know how I feel about demons so I would agree with Lizzie that you are probably talking to spirits if you are talking to anything at all.

I do believe oujia boards work... but im like very anti oujia board as they usually only contact negative spirits and if not closed down properly you can end up with like negative spirits using the oujia board as a portal in your house ... i would be like really careful when using oujia boards.

I didn't know this until the other day but Ouija boards were originally sold as a board game. They talk about it on QI:

They also go on to say that if you blindfold people and turn the board around without them knowing people will just spell out gibberish.

Quite interesting

It's an idiomotor response. It's easily explainable. It's one of those things that hasn't been shown to work since its start, but people are still convinced for some reason.
