Jesus Christ. - July 28th 2015, 04:22 AM

I have been thinking about this these past couple of days, this depiction of Jesus Christ. I am Muslim and the reason why we don't accept depictions of our prophets, is because it incites us to worship them instead of Allah (SWT). I have noticed, from the things I have seen from the Christian community, some of the addresses, some of the movies, it seems that Christians worship Jesus Christ, the human embodiment of God more than they reference the actual God Himself.

Hazret Muhammed (SAS) was great and all but it has been made clear that he wasn't perfect and there were a number of witnesses claiming he sometimes acted as someone who said he believed but that didn't practise. This is to make it clear that the only almighty being is Allah (SWT).

What is the placing of Jesus Christ in Christianity and how do worshipers interact with his Father?

Well this is awkward... >.>

But seriously, it varies greatly depending on which form of Christianity you follow.

I was also going to say it varies because there's some sectors of Christianity that don't allow statues of Mother Mary with baby Jesus or even depictions in painting or stained glass. I mean that's the criticism that Judaism gives too but I personally don't get too hung up on those kind of things.

What I really came here to ask is my to fill my curiousity on what the paranethesis mean?
like how you said
Quote:
Hazret Muhammed (SAS)
and
Quote:
Allah (SWT)
what do those letters mean?
I know who Allah is though so no worries my family speaks Arabic at home. My dad quotes the qu'ran sometimes too even though he grew up as Christian. But a fun fact is that Syrian Jews call their god Allah too ._.

So, the belief is simply that Jesus allows humans to have intercession with the Father. It is a Christian's belief that without Jesus, we wouldn't even be able to properly worship God. However, the reason why Christian's worship Jesus more than God the Father, so-to-speak, is because Jesus told them that whoever honors Jesus, honors God. Thus, by worshiping Jesus, you are worshiping God.

That might be because the holy spirit, Jesus and God are one and the same for a lot of christians. They are a trinity. So when praising jesus you are praising God.

This is what I grew up being taught in church. So, when I am worshiping/praying to Jesus I am also worshiping and praying to God.

When I pray, I always pray to God, but its the same thing as praying to Jesus because Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are the same God according to Christianity.
In My College Confrontations With Bible Thumpers, they seem to be under the impression that I'm worshipping God wrong because I don't worship in Jesus' name. Well... they're wrong, because thats a contradiction that they're the same God. I call God many things when I pray sometimes, depending on how I feel; God, Dad, Jesus, Allah, Dio (Latin for God, I believe)... I don't know, I never really felt the need to question it, because for something thats obviously a large part of my religion, it feels almost like a minor detail to me.
