Life: Is it real ? - August 26th 2011, 05:19 AM

Oh yes, an age-old question im sure has been asked before...but my situation is just a teensy bit different...so, life as we know it...is it the real thing?

During the day, nothings real. I could go for a walk into town or take a drive through the forest and still not feel real...i see no point in even waking up. My dreams have more substance than "real life". *Life only feels real when im staring right into someone elses soul, right into their eyes...or if im working on an artpiece...or even just floating on the boat with my father...those are the few real moments i feel.

Spiritually, i feel this consciousness isnt the true consciousness...its an illusion to me created by our minds...the real life to me is when im performing some sort of ritual meditation, communing with my mind and spirit...when i completely darken the room and light a single candle, basking in its light with my dog...

hell, i only feel real in the darkness. Under the moons light life looks real, not just an illusion...

I've been doing a lot of experimenting with many different substances this summer, and its really putting my sense of reality into question...idk how any certain substances would affect any of you guys...but I've noticed that with certain substances, I get that "fisheyed" effect...yaknow, the stereotypical "life looks like a movie"...but this view seems more real to me than the sober world...when im sober...everything is so stagnant and flat...none of it seems like its really happens...only way i can tell time really passes is when my hair and nails grow...but when i use certain substances, its like someone flips a switch, and u can see in 4d...the 4th dimension is time right? And yes...its like you hit the button on life, and can just see into time...time actually feels real...

I just feel like the true sights are the sights if sober nights and fisheyed days...the true feelings a shared moment or a calm meditation...even dreams...

What about you guys ?

I can identify with the feeling of nothing being truly real. I feel that way a lot.

When you think about it, the only thing I can be sure of is that I exist. I think therefore I am. I cannot be sure of anything else, everything could be an illusion, a dream, I could be in a coma.

The problem with taking that understanding of the world would actually drive you insane. You'd literally end up in a mental hospital if you truly embraced and understood that concept.

I thought about you for the rest of the day.
Catching my head turning to find you again.
I hated myself for it.
