Am i going to hell?

OK, so heres the deal. i'm a practicing Wiccan, and i have been for about six months. I like to read about the religion, and lately I've been reading a lot about Christian views on Wicca, and if theres one thing that hardcore Christians are good at, its scaring people. I just need a little reassurance.

Put it this way...if you're going to hell, you're not going to know till you're judged by God (in a Christian perspective at least). No one can judge you because that's a sin as well. So, are you going to hell? God knows, but no one on Earth knows for sure. They can say you are, but the only way you'll know, potentially, is when you die. I could be going to hell and not even know it either.

Honestly, if you're not Christian, you shouldn't be worrying about this. I'm answering from a non-Christian perspective, and in my religion there is no Hell; so, by default, no, you're not going there. It really comes down to what you believe. Everyone here can only give you their opinion based on their own beliefs, and we could give you long-winded explanations of why you are or are not going to Hell, but that won't make a difference if you don't believe it. So, basically, just go with what you believe.

Wiccan's don't believe in hell, so how could you go to it? you will go to summerland, like the rest of us, remember, every religion is just a path to one thing, summerland, think of it this way, we don't believe in satan therefor, how could we worship satan?

Im a christian ,and in the bible it says you do not get accepted into the kingdom (heaven) if you dont admit to God you are a siinner, believe that jesus is Gods son,confes your faith in jesus as your savior and lord! so I believe that if you have christ in your heart your not going to hell! But thats between you and God! I can tell you if your going through a rouggh time things get better when you find God! You will be in my prayers!

If you don't believe in hell, then no, you are not. I am an atheist, so I don't believe in any of it. So I'm not going to hell. I would never worry about it. No matter what religious practice you have, somebody thinks you're going to hell. Christians think other Christians are going to hell. Who cares what they think any of it? It's your beliefs.

If you don't believe there is a hell, you can't really go there. I was under the impression that Wiccans believe in the Summerland, not heaven and hell. Other Christians may think you are going to hell, but ultimately it's about you believe, not them.

I'm a Christian and the Bible does say that people who do not accept the Kingdom will go to Hell. But, everyone else is right -- it's up to your belief system. None of us can tell you whether you will or will not be going to Hell. That's something that you have to make the choice to dwell on.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter which religion you believe in or which God/ess you devote your life to. As long as you live a good life and follow good morals (as all religions generally tell you to do anyway) then there's no reason for whatever God there is to condemn you.
That and I believe in reincarnation anyway so there is no Hell for me.

If you go to hell simply for your beliefs and trying to better yourself (Be it through living well, or religion in your case.) then not many people are going to heaven.

Wiccans/Pagans don't go to hell, because we don't believe it exists and is in direct conflict with our beliefs about the circle of never-ending life. There is no punishment in the afterlife.

I personally, if I was a Christian, could never take the Bible seriously. It's written by over 40 different people, written over 1,500 years, has been translated countless times, and most of the authors never actually knew or met Jesus. I don't see how anyone could call such a book holy or inspired by God.

I also think the whole "If you don't accept Jesus as your savior you'll go to hell" thing is a crock of shit and Jesus himself probably laughs when that line is used.

Just because you don't believe in something it does not mean that it does not exist. I don't believe in Heaven or Hell but it's exist doesn't depend upon my belief. If he's going to hell he's going to hell and if he isn't then he isn't.

There is no right or wrong answer. There are two that are equally correct but different Christian denominations will tell you one or the other. More conservative Evangelical Christians will tell you "Yes" whereas more liberal Christians will tell you "No".

Look at it this way: I have a ring on my finger, and I'm gonna throw it and hit you in the face with it if you don't listen to me. But I don't actually have ring on my finger, and I couldn't hit you with it even if I wanted to.

It's the same thing with heaven and hell.

Christians have hell, and they're gonna throw at it you and hit you in the face with it if you let them. But they don't actually have any hell to throw, because you don't believe in it, and so they and their god simply can't touch you.


That is to say: If you know that it doesn't exist, it simply doesn't apply to you.

Well, as appealing as it is, I don't believe in Valhalla, because I am not a Viking. My point was that OP shouldn't worry about hell for the same reason.

Toz: You're generalizing here. The Wiccan religion doesn't believe in Hell as a core value, but the OP as an individual Wiccan may believe in hell. Just because someone belongs to a certain group doesn't mean they must share all ideals of that group.

It's as silly as saying "All nerds hate Star Wars episodes 1-3!" because that may apply to a majority of the "nerd" group, and yet some may very well enjoy that movie set. People within any group, be it a sub-culture, stereotype or religion do not need to all believe in the same ideals.

Everyone, I'm pretty sure he's asking if he'd go to hell if Christianity is true. Obviously he's not going to hell if there is no hell.

I'm a Christian, and to answer your question, the bible does say that only Christians go to Heaven. However, it's not as simple as "God is sending you to hell because you're not a Christian". The whole reasoning behind it is that every single human who has ever lived (except Jesus) has sinned (lying, disobeying parents, fighting, practicing false religions, using God's name as a curse word,etc.) and falls short of perfection because they have sin in them. God is perfect and can't be associated with imperfection, so our sins separate us from God. If we are separated from God, we can't go to Heaven some day and be with Him. So, because God loves us and wanted us back, He sent His son Jesus to Earth to pay the penalty of our sins for us and take them away. He did this by dying on the cross and taking our sins with Him- and then rising again 3 days later to defeat sin. This is a free gift, so we don't have to work for it or earn it, we only have to receive it. We receive this gift of being washed clean of our sins and becoming a Christian (child of God) by having faith that Jesus truly did this for you, and repenting once and for all (repent is a word that means "change of mind"- so changing your mind and deciding to follow God rather than keep your old life, although you will of course still not act perfectly even afterwards). THAT is why you have to be a Christian to go to Heaven...not because God hates non-Christians or anything like that.

That's actually not true at all. The bible says to not judge someone if you are guilty of the same thing as them (don't be a hypocrite, basically). It says that if someone is doing something wrong and you are also doing it, you need to fix your own problem before pointing out their problem to them. The only way that a Christian shouldn't judge someone for being a Wiccan, is if they are also a Wiccan...which isn't possible, because they're not Wiccan, they're Christian. lol But, please know that by "judge", I don't mean that Christians have the right to be mean to others or anything like that- but they do have a right to tell them that they're wrong.

But you still don't go to hell if you don't believe in it, because it simply doesn't exist. It's all just a bunch of theories, and no one is wrong and no one is right because there's no proof either way.

Your theory is Wicca, Haika. A lot of people here have theories about life and death and deities similar to yours, and a lot of people here have theories that are Christian, and there are still more that believe in different things.

No one can tell you what to believe. You have to make that choice within yourself, and most importantly, you have to make that choice fearlessly. You have to learn to cling to your gods for comfort, and trust in them to protect you from all those that would seek to terrorize you away from what you know to be true.


I don't believe that you're going to hell. I'm an atheist. What I do to keep from being scared about hell and eternal damnation is make absolutely certain that I remember my disbelief in hell when I read about it or hear Christian views about my complete lack of religion.

When I was a hellenismos pagan four years ago, I clung to my gods from then to protect me, and when I felt scared, I often found that worshipping my gods helped with the fear of hell quite a lot.

really I like shocking them. One approached me. And I told her what I thought of jesus and she looked at me like I grew horns. If they attack your religious belief have fun with theirs. You probably know they have a lot to pick with. Plus as a Wiccan what do you think their pligt is. Hold close to that. It's your religion. Since you seem to be wondering from a Christian perspective if you are going to hell, I'll tell you what Christians believe.

One of the few things that almost every Christian can agree on is grounds for entrance into Heaven. It's plain and simple: If you believe in God, and accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior, you go to heaven. If you don't, you go to hell. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Personally, I'm not sure where I stand on the heaven/hell debate. I'm an Agnostic Christian, which means that I do believe in God and Jesus, but when it comes to the Bible, I don't necessarily believe the entire thing is 100% exact events and all true, and I can't stand religion. I personally can't tell you whether you're going to heaven or hell, because I really don't even know if I'M going to heaven or hell.

Obviously though you are having some difficulty in the faith department. You shouldn’t let the scare tactics of others get to you. You know what you believe, you know you mean no harm and do no harm and that is what is most important.

Hey! I'm a christian, church every sunday, i admit i dont know what it says in the bible about it, because i cant be fagged looking it up, so this is what my heart is settling on instead. From what i know about wicca you can not use magic or anything for self gain, nor to harm anyone, because of the three hold rule (correct me if i'm wrong i cant remember the names much) so you cant do anything to harm others as it will come back at you in threes? or three times as much? yes?

So basically, i think if you live your life doing good by others and to your self,then your fine. Dont worry about it, i dont. just live life in a decently well behaved manner have some fun and be kind to others

i used to read into a bit of wicca, i loved it it was very interesting.
