Talking Mission work! :D - January 19th 2012, 08:25 AM

Hey You guys! hope all is going alright for you!

so i have something pretty dam exciting i am going to tell you, so as you can see from the title its about mission work. So yeah. im hopefully doing a mission course in October, with an organisation called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). so the course im doing is called a compassion DTS (Discipleship Training school) and will either be going to Cambodia or Russia and Latvia, working with kids and less fortunate people, also working with trying to stop human trafficking.

http://ywamnewcastle.com/training/training-compassion/

that is a link to what i am going to be doing.

i have two things standing in my way, parents blessing, and the $7000-$8000 i have to raise

so yeah, just thought i would post this, i think we need more young people in missions, and im not even talking about the God stuff but simply kids going out and helping others.

It's too bad it takes $8000 to help others. Good luck on your mission.

Why do you need to go anywhere to help others? Just asking. It seems more beneficial, to me, to help others where you are, with that 8,000$ than to waste it on travel and accomidations. Christ didn't need accreditation. But I will pray for your wisdom, grace, and that you get support.

I think it's great that you're passionate to help others Sometimes it's hard to see that other places are in more need of help than places closer to home. Good luck on raising the money, I have faith that you can do it Let me know how it all goes!

not quite sure what that link has to do with anything?
If your implying anything say it out straight?

yeah, it might be alot of money sure, but its not like im going to go to do nothing, hell i think the experience in its self will be life changing, and then being able to help others, even if its just bringing smiles to kids faces, its good, then i can bring what i have learnt back home and use it to help kids around here, im not abandoning my own town, haha though i dont actually have a town i call home.

No, the link was about YWAM's inner workings, and how it seriously damaged the mental state of a young man.
I have no idea if it's relevant to your sect of it orb not, I just remembered their authoritarian antics.

I'd suggest helping the people in your own community first. Then perhaps work on building up to internationally.

Satanism is not a white light religion; it is a religion of the flesh, the mundane, the carnal - all of which are ruled by Satan, the personification of the Left Hand Path.

"Love those who deserve your love, instead of love wasted on ingrates!"

"If a man smite thee on one cheek, smash him on the other!"

"It's too bad stupidity isn't painful."
