Hi I'm Josh or Joshua, whatever you prefer to call me is fine. Well I'm on here for a little vent and to get some advice for my problems. I'm 14 and last year i was hospitalized at my stay there i was diagnosed with Bipolar and i was on Lithium and Lamictal also Mirtazapine. I stayed on meds for about 6 months after hospitalization before i stupidly decided i wanted to off meds. Its been 9 months since I've been on meds. Ive noticed i have really bad mood swings and i started smoking weed i have to say it does help. But Ive been noticed that Iive been dealing with depersonalization. And whenever do i feel like myself i have breakdowns. but that sums up everything
thanks,
Josh

Hello and welcome!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I hope that we are able to help you and give you a safe place to vent. This site has a pretty great community. Please know we are here if you ever need anything. You mention that you aren't on medication and I am wondering if you'd be open to trying to get back on it. I know that might be a hard thing to consider but if the medication was helping you it could end up being beneficial for you to get back on it.

Welcome to TeenHelp! I have also been diagnosed with Bipolar and completely understand going off your meds suddenly and the mood swings. I promise, meds will help with the mood swings once you get on the right combination. For a bit you might feel like a 'guinea pig' thats how I felt!
