Hey - November 11th 2009, 09:18 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of self harm, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Mild Self Harm mention.

My name is Yale. I'm 16 and living in Cape Girardeau, MO [USA]. aka, Misery.
I've dealt with depression for years, and I used to cut. After my last visit to the psych hospital after a rather bad ordeal (which I will not go in to at the moment, though if you're curious, message me), I cleaned my act up. I've been free from SH for almost a year. While I know some of you aren't religious, I believe God did play a part. I am here to help people now (And no, I wont push my religion or let that play a part in my advice for those who don't want it).

Message me any time

But in the end, the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll get through this too.

Hi Yale,
Welcome to TeenHelp! My name is Alessa and I'm 15 and from Massachusetts. I have a similar story to yours. I used to cut but have gotten over that. I am still dealing with mild depression but nowhere close to as bad as it used to be. So if I understand correctly you have been a member here before? It may have changed a bit since you were last around so let me know if you need help finding your way around.
Take care,
Alessa

Whatever it is, chances are I've been there.
If I can make it out, you can too.

Hey there. I'm Jessi...welcome to the site! Wow, one year SH free...that's quite an accomplishment. You should be very proud. Recovery isn't easy, but you took charge and showed your demons who's boss. Way to go.

If you ever need any help with anything, or if you'd like to talk, just give me a shout.

Hey Yale, welcome to teenhelp! Seems like you've been through quite a lot, but looks like you're on the right track now. And congrats on a whole year, that's really something to be proud of If you ever have any questions or just need someone to talk to, my pm box is always open. Hope to see you around!
