I'm Ethan... sixteen years old, living in Dorset.
Initially, I was unsure about registering, because there's the whole "why would anyone care about me" thing, but I did anyway  Not wishing to bring anyone down, this is me in a nutshell. Never went to school, I live in a tiny isolated village with nobody else my age around, so I've had no friends all my life. I am a very lonely soul, and distant and uncaring family don't really help. I've thought many times about doing myself in, but there's a glimmer of hope the prevents me from doing so, for some reason  I just think myself unworthy... I'm worthless, no importance. It's so bad that I feel I'm a burden on a lot of people, and often I've passed things up because I'm like... dude, don't waste your time on me, there are people worthy of your time. And don't get me started on the opposite sex... it's horrible. I lie awake so many nights, just imagining what it feels like to hold a girl tightly in my arms. I feel worthless, but I know I'm a nice guy. I wouldn't hurt a fly, and I often go out of my way to try and make people happy. All I want in life is someone special to be there for... to hold in my arms when she cries, to laugh with and just be there for. And, yeah, I jabber on a lot

Hey Ethan! Welcome to Teen Help. I'm Angelina and i have been a member here for a little over two years. It's a great supportive and loving community.
I'm glad you decided to join. You are most certainly not worthless. You will never be a burden to any of us here at TH. We're here to help you. Feel free to use the forums to get advice and support and the chat room as well. We also have HelpLink http://www.teenhelp.org/helplink/ which allows you do get advice anonymously. Be sure to read over these threads- Which contain a lot of useful information about navigating TH and how it works. (: How to use the forums and Obtaining support and advice I hope i have helped you out some. I'm glad you've joined TeenHelp - it really is a lovely community as Angelina has said. Never feel like you don't have 'anyone' because we are ALWAYS here when there is no-one left for you to turn to. There are loads of different features to TeenHelp, as you've already found, there are the support forums where there are loads of happy people willing to help you out. There's also the LiveHelp feature, which is a 1-2-1 based chat facility where you can chat to a member of staff. Then there's HelpLink - where you send an email in for only HelpLink staff to see, staff then reply directly to your email address. (These are both more private ways of seeking help). Live Help is like an instant messaging service run by our Live Help Operators. You are connected to one of them and they can help you. I'd also like to say welcome to TeenHelp! I'm one of those Buddies Chloe mentioned. One of the great things about TeenHelp is there's a variety of ways to get help. There's the forums, HelpLINK, LiveHelp, and the Chat Room. I especially like the Chat Room because it has two functions: There are two rooms for getting advice, and two rooms for socializing and making friends. There are also discussions held once a week (on Saturdays) on a specific topic. I'm in the chat room a lot so come on if you want to talk. I'll see you there. Anders: That's not evasive.

You have a friend here if you need anyone to talk to. You are not worthless, and you live in a small place which makes it hard to make alot of friends. Heck, I live in a bustling city full of people and I don't hang out with anyone or go out much, just hang with my family which suffices for now. I don't think of myself as much of a people person though. You are not worthless, don't let anything make you think that, and that's good you've stuck around and decided to stay strong. You will know what it is like to hold someone in your arms, one day. One day a girl will come by and see what a sweet guy you are.
