Mothers Day

Today is "Mothers Day",
A special time to give moms a gift or bouquet,
A card to give thanks and gratitude,
Maybe just do something to boost her mood,
To remember you're blessed,
And try to lessen her stress,

Today is "Mothers Day"
For me it's a special time to sit and pray,
To wish I had another year with mine,
To want her holding me and making me feel fine,
Remembering how much I was blessed,
Knowing she's no longer under stress,
But still I will silently cry,
And never truly understand why,
So I'll stare at a photo of us smiling happily,
I'll talk as if she were here with me,
And pretend like things are alright,
Though my tears blur my sight,

Today is called "Mothers Day",
But all I can do this year is pray God tells my mom what I say,
"Mom, I love you,"
"You're the one who always seen my true value,"
"The one who cherished me,"
"You're the one who made the monsters flee,"
"Whether they were under my bed,"
"Or the terrorizing ones in my head,"
"The person who held me close despite the pain,"
"The one who taught me to love the rain,"
"I carry you in my heart,"
"And have missed you from the start,"
"I know you're living carefree in heaven,"
"But still I can't wait to see you again,"
"Wish I could feel your warm touch,"
"I miss you so much,"
"Mama, I love you, "
"That will always remain true,"
"Mom, today is 'Mothers Day',"
"So happy mothers day is all I wanted to say".

Today is "Mothers Day",
And I hope God tells my mom all the things I wanted to say.
