So you hear your daughter crying in her bedroom
You tell her if she just got a boyfriend things will be better soon
She can’t stop producing those tears
Because you can’t accept who she is here
You can’t change a person
You can’t change a life
Even when you know they don’t deserve it
Just remember the darkness won’t leave without putting up a fight
Next time your friends see you pull out the knife
Just remind them they can help, but they can’t change your life
So your son was born a girl
But he’ll do whatever he can to prove he still belongs in this world
And your son turned out to be your daughter
Don’t give up just because your child won’t be a father
You can’t change a person
You can’t change a life
Even when you know they don’t deserve it
Just remember the darkness won’t leave without putting up a fight
Next time your friends see you pull out the knife
Just remind them they can help, but they can’t change your life
So your child likes both men and woman
But don’t keep them from having a friend
You know he’s been in love with a man
But that doesn’t mean he can’t do the things that you can
You can’t change a person
You can’t change a life
Even when you know they don’t deserve it
Just remember the darkness won’t leave without putting up a fight
Next time your friends see you pull out the knife
Just remind them they can help, but they can’t change your life
A bruise fades away
But the words always stay
Who we are is not a sin
Our only goal is to let love win
Nobody’s perfect
But we are all worth it
You can’t change a person
You can’t change a life
Even when you know they don’t deserve it
Just remember the darkness won’t leave without putting up a fight
Next time your friends see you pull out the knife
Just remind them they can help, but they can’t change your life

~Don't worry about me. I'm sort of feeling fine, but by tomorrow, I'll be back on my feet again.~

I love this! I like how you did it in rainbow. keep writing!
From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

This was written really well and I agree with everyone's comments. This was awesome.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
