High School: Graduation Day

For some reason, I am currently stuck with everything high school related. So i really need to get out all my high school poems.

Walk through the doors,
take a good look around,
You will never see this place,
at least not this way,

No more running
through the halls,
No more walking
up and down the stairs,

Look there is the offices,
oops no thats going to be the new library,
But the art rooms are over there!
Look your art teacher is waving,

Oh my,
you better get upstairs,
clock is ticking,
Spend the last day,
with those who care,

Walk into the room,
The brand new room,
But yet it holds so much,
so much, so much

Look its the lockers,
You cleaned yours already,
Look its the bathrooms,
didn't people get locked in there?

look the caged closets,
funny right,
and the little microwave,
the two fridges too,

Look, the teacher's desks,
You never understood,
why were they out so far?

But you remember,
Hiding under them,
Poking your new friend,
Laughing away,
at the jokes made

Take a deep breathe,
enter the room,
its the computers, the tables,
the board.

Isn't that the poster,
the one you helped make,
the one you added everyone,
on the tables?

Isn't that the old scrabble board,
and the jenga set,
Oh and your computer,
back near the window,

Take a good look,
who knows when you will,
see all of it again

Look everyone is entering,
just like they always do,
quickly get them to sign,
your yearbook too

You have an hour,
you need to run,
get the signatures,
Go go now

One from the forensic teacher,
Th ESL too,
One from your shop teacher,
Art teacher too

Run for your friends,
some you won't get,
not enough room,
hurry and fix that,

Go to the gym,
everyone is there,
signatures, signatures
get them every where,

Oh it's your ex,
You want his signature too,
yeah right, your too nervous,
back to your friends,

time is up,
graduation practice time,
get in position,
stand together in time,

Look you finally did it,
You are dismissed,
find a ride
from your neighbor home,

there goes the door,
as it slams shut,
goodbye good school,
hello new life

I don't know why this made me teary eyed.
