Some People Donít Want You For You - September 11th 2019, 03:52 AM

There was a girl I once knew, dating all
the way back to my last year in middle school,
and we became friends over the years.

This girl was really kind and really sweet.

HoweverÖ

She struggled with the broken pieces of herself.

She had a rough childhood, having witnessed
her dad cheating on her mom, and then leaving
both her and her mom for another woman, an
experience which scarred her.

While she did have friends that she hanged
around with, nothing could change the fact
that she constantly put inside her head the
belief that sheís always the kind of person
who pushes people away, and people come
and go in her life as a result of that belief.

She never wants to feel alone, but she
feels even more lonely being surrounded
by all of these so-called ďfriendsĒ around her.

To top it off, she met a guy and was so
quick to fall for him that when he asked
her to marry him after barely a year, she
agreed to it, only to find out not too long afterward,
he had cheated on her with her best friend.

She didnít understand why.

She had done everything he had asked, and she
had sacrificed nearly everything to show her love to him, only
to find out after all that, she had done it for nothing.

I just canít help but notice because of an experience
like this, it furthered her insecurities deep down,
and it saddens me that she doesnít realize that
no matter who sheís with (friends or a romantic partner),
no oneís gonna fix her except herself.

She doesnít realize that the people that sheís
chasing after donít actually care about her,
and that they are only there for their own benefits.

Some people donít want you for you.

You block out all this time for them, even cave
and perform such acts for them, only to find
that those people still leave you in the end.

People who only like us just for our face
or our body wonít be with us long term.

Donít ever change yourself for one person.

Donít be so quick to give away your trust,
let someone prove it and earn it.

Donít give up everything for someone who
will drop you faster than they picked you up.

If the people youíre around right now are
forcing you to change against your own will,
itís time to take a step back and let them go.

Donít delude yourself into believing something
that actually isnít there. We often kid ourselves
and donít take an honest look of what is actually there.

I understand itís hard finding the right people
in your life, but stop looking and let go of
the people who donít make you feel good.

Itís important to realize that you must not
blame yourself for what happens with someone.

We all make mistakes and the best thing
we can do is learn from them and forgive ourselves.

This is the time right now to figure out
what kind of person you want to be like,
and when you take the time to do that,
the right people will show up, and they
wonít want to change anything about you.

Theyíll see and appreciate you for you.

Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing.
Itís the rhythm of your life. Itís the expression in time and movement,
in happiness, joy, sadness and envy.
