Unhappy Writen after the death of my nanna - February 5th 2010, 12:27 AM

I remember your eyes
Deep and brown
I remember how we walked
Trough this gray town
I remember how you taught me
To stand and to fight
I remember how you chased away my fright
I remember our talks
Late at night
I remember you smile
Warm and bright
I remember your words you spoke
I remember the china we broke
I remember how you loved to crack jokes
I remember your furniture of oak
I remember how you said “I love you”
I remember that you loved the color blue
I remember when we both had the flu
I remember your favorite shoes
I remember how you loved to knit
I remember the warm itchy socks that still fit
I remember how you kissed my cheek
Now I can’t even speak
I remember how you called me unique
You gave me so much strength
I felt I could reach a mountain peak
I remember our card games every week
I remember your bathroom with the awful loch
I remember how you hunched your back
I remember how you hated rock
I remember your stories
About herding live stalk
I remember grandma’s phone call
She said the words I didn’t want to hear at all
I remember the tears and the pain
I felt like I was in chains
I remember my shirt
With wet tear stains
I love you so much that it hurts
I love you so much that I just wanna scream
I hate it that all of this I have to contain
I wish I could see you again
I wish you would hold me again
I wish we could talk again
But we can’t…

i love you nanna

Aww, I loved how your poem was so full of emotion.

"We accept the love we think we deserve."
"In that moment, I swear, we were Infinite."
"There's an I in Illness
and a We in Wellness."
