Broken (New art therapy drawing..) -

 Recently I've been feeling...well I dunno exactly. But I took some time this evening to draw. But I'd seen this drawing by a friend on deviantart.com  Basically I fell in love with his (Gerard Way's) expression. I'd never drawn any expression really and I wanted to give it a try. I also have been wanting to play around with color a bit. I'd not been brave enough in the past but I really wanted to do it. I was so focused when I started drawing it that I had inadvertently tapped into the well of emotions I've been dealing with and almost made myself cry....a few times. I told my best friend that and showed her both my drawing and my friend's.....she asked me if it was supposed to make her cry. I told her no. That it was just a reaction I had because I felt a connection to it. I recently felt exactly what he had, though my story is very different than his... Oh, I really like that. You almost made me cry, and I don't cry that easily.
Keep up the great work. Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |
