Dear romanticized suicide -

So I think it's good that there are so many creative people here letting out there emotions. I'd much rather see people write a million poems about suicide than ever try it
However, I have noticed (And I'm not talking about on this site, but generally, in life) there seems to be a lot of poems glorifying suicide, something horrible which I don't think should be held in such high esteem. For the record, I have been there, and if writing a poem about it helps you deal then go for it, baby!
Still, I wrote a little poem about my feelings on the matter.

I have to say, you're talented!
I love it.
"'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.'
I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish.
'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.'
'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said.
'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'"
