This is a Shakespearean sonnet I wrote last night after I had a relapse and purged. I'm not that good of a writer, but I think I explained what I was feeling well enough.
Knees on faded tile, frozen in place. Thinking of the image in the mirror Pray that monster inside isn't your face Lock that beast where none can see or hear her. Or maybe try to eject her instead Don't manage the problems, get rid of them. Purge the voices that reside in your head Ignore what they say you couldn't have been But they fight the rejection from within. Clawing and crying the entire way Making you choke on ev'ry secret sin. Screaming the words you're scared to hear them say. They'll let you think you won, now you're alright. But you'll be here again tomorrow night. ![]() |
