glass room

this isnt exactly a poem but i made it up on the bus today so yeah.

I'm no diffrent from everyone else
but I've always been.
I would wish for bad things to happen to me when i was only 3.
I used to stand with all the other kids i knew.
but my real self was hidden in a glass case
you could see through it,
but you had to try
no one could.
as time went on I got worse.
One day, about a year ago
a voice behind me spoke.
it said it could make the pain go away
and stop my internal tears
i turned and saw a large glass box with a slidding door.
the door was open as i walked towards it
i stepped inside and felt a pain in my arm
i looked down and saw a cut and blood.
but i kept on walking
further and further into the room.
the pain didnt hurt so much
the doors started to close very slowly
and even though i could leave if i wanted,
i didnt
i stayed for awhile
got cuts on my arms, my legs, shoulder, wrists ect
until i realized its not good to cope like this
i started walking towards the door
but when i got there
it slammed shut and locked.
i was trapped.

A place where nothing is born or dies
no such thing as time
only a blade and some broken glass for company
yet i was there.
day after day
watching my friends grow up and be happy.
with the glass case i had once been in
that took my place outside.
im still there
hurting more than i ever thought someone could withstand.
they can see through the rooms walls
but they have to try
no one can see through.

It is so sweet! Like Dez said it tells a poem. So many self Harmers will be able to relate to this! With a little editing it can be called a full fledged poem! It is already in poem format. Just a few lines that need to be edited. I'll see if I can get someone to do that editing if you want
