Question Condoms - July 28th 2012, 03:02 PM

Is any one else ever nervous and embarrassed to buy condoms or am I being silly? And which are the best ones?

It's normal to feel embarassed buying condoms but you are doing the right thing don't forget that and I would suggest trojan.

It's completely normal to feel embarrassed about buying condoms, for some people it's very scary, for others, not so much. I personally suggest something like Trojan, or even LifeStyle.

My supermarket has this option called "Scan-It" where you literally take a scanner with you and put items in your bag as you go. Then when you go to the checkout, you just scan your loyalty card and it automatically rings it all up. It's great for condoms, but I feel like one day I'll get audited!

^The self-checkout machines are great for buying embarrassing items like condoms and lube. If you go during the day you can usually pay for things at the pharmacy counter if you ask them.

Honestly, shop attendants and assistants have seen it all. They won't even bat an eyelid when you take them to the checkouts. Self checkouts can work, but in some supermarkets things like condoms and lube require age verification if only to check that the people buying them aren't ridiculously young - said thing happened to me when buying JLS condoms as a joke birthday present for a friend. As for brands, i'd suggest Durex!

Re: Condoms - July 29th 2012, 08:39 PM

I used to work at Walmart as a cashier and we weren't required to verify customer age for condoms and lube. One time a very young looking couple (they couldn't have been older than 13) checked out at my register with condoms and K-Y. Kinda freaked me out.

But yeah, I've definitely seen it all. Nothing surprises me anymore.
