I now know this is more "normal" than I originally thought. Apparently a lot of girls have rape fantasies but, why? Why does the idea of rape turn girls on? It should do the opposite.
I've had them for years but only now realise how common it is.

I'm not sure if rape fantasies are as common as... domination fantasies? Like maybe not wanting it entirely, but doing it for pleasure/ to please someone else. Because someone is "ordering" you to, which is arousing. I'm not sure how much I believe that a ton of girls have straight up rape fantasies-- sex they do not want and fight against, giving them no pleasure.
It's not the idea of the violent crime of rape (being brutally used against ones wishes and all of the fallout that comes with it), I'd say it is the loss of control. Some women are frightened or find it difficult to break boundaries when it comes to masturbation/sex. A rape fantasy doesn't give them choice to say no, and therefore they can't feel bad if they enjoy it... they were forced to.
Well like the others said, it's not so much about the criminal aspect of it, but about the domination of not having control, of being told what to do and when to. Some women like the thought of being dominated and bed, and a common fantasy that deals with this is rape.

There's a lot of stigma placed on a woman's sexuality. We're supposed to do it only with our husbands, and then we're not even really supposed to enjoy it, it's mainly something for him. If a woman says she likes sex, then she's a whore. Rape fantasies take that away. She's allowed to actually enjoy herself because she hasn't consented, therefore nobody can say that she enjoyed it and is a whore.
Sorry I couldn't be there, I was tied to a rocking chair.
The people who have these fantasies are usually more masochistic. Because of this, the idea of a man being forceful and strong/rough, turns them on. It's not the actual act of rape. Besides, if they're with someone they trust and THEY are the ones that want it, they know it's not actually something they don't want, so it takes away the fear behind rape. The thing about rape is that it's sex forced upon you when you don't want it, but if you do want it and all you're recreating is the forcing, then it isn't frightening.
As brought up before I don't think it's so much rape fantasies as it is domination. But when girls are trying to explain it, it usually is easiest to just say rape. You want to be dominated and potentially get a little rougher than normal. And typically you want to have this fantasy with your significant other. I don't think any girl really fantasies about some strange older man beating her and forcing himself upon her. But then again what do I know...some girls could be like that.
But as for the domination fantasy, yeah I am all for that. BDSM. Good stuff.
I'll do whatever it takes to be the mistake you can't live without.
Rape fantasies aren't actually about rape. They are usually an indicator of a desire to be dominated or experience power exchange during sex. It's probably one of the most, if not the most common sexual fantasy there is for women. After all, you're essentially wanting someone to take control over you sexually. There is a great emphasis on the idea of lust, physical attraction and urgent physical need. If someone is "raping" you, that means they want to engage with you so much they don't "care" about anything else, which is where the idea of and the "attraction" to "rape" (i.e. dominance) comes in.
i do have them but not because im sick and disturbed, i just like them because i like to be dominated, it turns me on sooo much i like to see the guy in control! i do watch rape porn but the fake stuff. i would never ever watch something where someone gets raped for real. That is just disturbing to me.
Guenhwyvar roared a fourth time and darted off through the grove, a black arrow aimed at the heart of doom.
