Unhappy URGENT please help me - January 5th 2017, 08:27 AM

so I made a thread somewhat about this that never got answered, but now I'm even more concerned.

lately I've had some itchiness in my vaginal area, it's definitely gone down as I've been applying yeast infection cream. but I talked about how when I was using a dildo my lower abdominal region started to hurt. it's like this sore, ache-y feeling. hard to explain.
anyway, today I had sex with a new guy for the first time and I don't think I felt the pain after we had sex, but I do know that later when I fingered myself I felt that same lower abdominal / upper pubic pain that I felt with the dildo.

I'm terrified to death that this is PID, but I can't get checked for STDs until this weekend or next..

I've been thinking this might also be due to my period starting soon, as I'm getting many other PMS symptoms as well. but that wouldn't explain the soreness a week ago.

any advice?

I don't have much advice other than to tell you to get checked. I don't want to speculate about what it is because I don't want to say something that could freak you out. Honestly, it could be a number of things. It might be PID but it very well might be something entirely different. I can say that speculating about what it is will probably freak you out so try not to do that.

Also, maybe you could avoid having sex until you are able to get checked? Just to avoid being sore all the time? I don't know how feasible that is but it's the only thing I can think of to stop the soreness until you can get checked.

Hi Jess,

That's definitely a scary situation. I've had a few yeast infections in my life time. What I recommend is trying to use the Canesten tablets. I always recommend the ones that you slid into your vagina as I find that they work a lot better then the tablets that you swallow. If you do, then make sure you wear a pad to bed as it will melt and make a mess if you don't.

The pain could be a few things, it could be because your period is starting, or maybe you're being too rough? It's really hard to tell. Try not to worry about the worst case scenario as you're just going to stress about it and most likely won't be able to sleep.

Let us know what they say.

You said you didn't feel pain when you actually had sex but that it hurt when masturbating right? My thought is that when you enjoy some "special" time with yourself, you aren't as warmed up and that's why it is hurting because your muscles are tight or whatever, I don't really know how to explain it great but I know it can happen because it'll hurt having sex if you aren't warmed up enough. You can probably google it. On the other hand, it's smart to get checked out if you're so worried that you think you might have an STI just to be safe.

Re: URGENT please help me - January 7th 2017, 07:10 PM

Well I did go to the doctor and she had me get tested for STDs again, even though my last test (which was after the last time I had sex and before I met this new guy) results came back all negative, which is reassuring. However, just to make sure, she's having me get an ultrasound too.

My period did start and ever since then it's just been crampy af, which is good and bad. But still, it's not like I've been masturbating or having sex since it started, so the pain could still be there.

I'm just worried about the testing because my last test was after my last sexual partner, so obviously if it came back negative it'll come back negative again. Because this time the test was taken two days after I had sex with a new guy, so I know nothing will show up if I got anything from him.
I mean, I know for a fact the pain isn't from him, because it started a week before I even met the guy.
But still, I'm just so scared of STDs that I feel the need to get checked constantly, even when I probably shouldn't have (like this time, because it was unnecessary.)

I think it was most likely due to my period (lowkey mine are extremely heavy and I get cramps from hell for days. I've been wanting to get on birth control or something to try and get it to chill out, but my parents won't allow that and idk how to get it myself.) but the pain from roughness or even just not being warmed up enough does seem like a pretty likely cause as well.

Thanks for the advice guys, it definitely helped calm me down for now.
