Pads or tampons for PE? - July 5th 2017, 03:25 PM

I always use pads for my periods, but had an experience last week during PE when everyone could see my pad

Has anyone else used tampons during PE lessons - are they ok?

I've used both pads & tampons. But tampons are definitely better during PE.

Great. I'll have to give tampons a try. Although probably my own fault everyone saw my pad as I'd forgotten my PE kit so had to do the lesson in my knickers

But tampons should prevent that happening again!

I've used pads and if you want to keep using pads maybe buy a thinner one you can wear with your gym uniform and then change back after? If not tampons are fine!

Hey there,

I primarily used tampons during PE, but there were occasions where I used a pad. Personally, I found tampons to be more comfortable when exercising and more convenient overall. However, they aren't for everyone. I also know some people who hated using them when working out. It's all a matter of personal preference. Test out using tampons and, if you do realize that pads are a better fit for you, perhaps you can try using a thinner pad or a pad with wings to help keep it from shifting.

Take care,
Sammi

It's probably best to use tampons, especially if there's activities that involve crouching, kicking, running.

I personally use a menstrual cup and recommend it over pads and tampons as you don't have to change it as often and I don't feel it at all, whereas I could feel a tampon sometimes. If you don't want to try the cup though, I do recommend tampons over pads when exercising. I've found it to be more comfortable.

And here you are living, despite it all.
