Erectile dysfuction can be caused by a million different things: high blood pressure, underlyin heart conditions, stress, perfotmance anxiety or damage to certain nerves. I therefore cannot tell you exactly what the problem is as there's a number of possible causes.

However, in answer to your question, yes, smoking can cause ED. Cigarette smoking can damage blood vessels, and ED is often caused by poor arterial blood supply to the penis. Therefore, cigarette smoking may be the cause of your problem, and even if it is not the main issue, smoking is likely making it even worse.

If I were you, I would consider quitting smoking. You can make an appointment with a doctor to get advice about this and they'll be more than happy to help. Quitting might not only help with your ED but it will benefit your health in other ways in the long and short term too.

Best of luck,
