Question Not growing at all. - January 28th 2019, 08:01 PM

I am a 14-year-old male and one of the oldest in my class, yet I am also the shortest everyone else in my grade has grown significantly both in hight and downstairs. I have not grown a single in for 2 years and I'm really small downstairs too and I was wondering if this means anything and is there any natural solutions?

Hey there,

This sounds normal to me. Fourteen is still very young for a male and a lot of guys are only just beginning to hit puberty around then. I know that when I was in high school, there were several guys who had higher-pitched voices and younger, more "boyish" faces until around junior or senior year. There was one guy in particular who was really short freshman year, but by senior year he was towering over everybody. And honestly? All the guys that I went to high school with look completely different now than they did in high school, even compared to our senior year... Meanwhile all the girls look pretty much exactly the same. Guys just take a little bit longer to finish puberty. I don't think it means anything significant - you might just mature a bit later than others.

I hope this helps a bit!
