i think that its okay if the girl wares makeup as long as she doesn't overdue it because it can make them look trashy

It depends on how much makeup is in question and what the occasion is, ie hanging out vs going out on a date.

Makeup should highlight your beaty not cover it up or worse, try to compensate. Lol, analogous to guys and cologne.

I don't like the cakey look, but if it's tastefully done I don't mind. I think my girlfriend looks good either way (with or without), but that's just me =-P.

My boyfriend says he likes it when I highlight my eyes and I normally wear mascara and eyeliner. I don't feel right without make up on.

Some of the posts in this thread really make me kind of sad; it's a shame to see that make-up, of all things, is so important to some people.

Sure, I wear it sometimes and it makes me feel good. But my girlfriend would find me beautiful no matter what and I feel the same about her. People are more important than a spot on their face or how long their eyelashes are.

I agree with this.

I don't wear makeup, I never have, I'm very pail, and sometimes get a few spot, but I'd rather people see me like that than with make up on, dunno why, that's just how I am.

It's so refreshing to hear so many people say they really don't care about the make-up. I need more boys like that in my life, dammit!
For me, make-up is more personal than for others--I feel like I'm more put together with it on. I only wear a bit around my eyes, though.
But still, I feel like a slob when I don't wear it && I worry that people around me will notice that I'm not wearing it. It's not so much that I think I look bad without it, it's just that I know I notice when people who usually wear it aren't.

there are a rare few who can get away without wearing makeup, but even a bit of makeup helps. also, i'm all for the plastic look! sexy as hell!! my boyfriend says i look fine without makeup on but i don't believe him, the mirror never lies lol.
hope you didn't mind me commenting, since i'm not a guy lol but thought i'd give in my opinion
I totally agree with you, i dont understand women who just let their faces go naked. I once read something that said the truly vain women are those who everyday walk out of the house without anything on their face, they dont feel the need to present themselves in a better light or way, so they must be 100 percent confidant in how they look. The girls ( me included) who everday wears make up are infact NOT the vain ones, we lack the confidance to go without, making an effort is surely less vain than not caring at all about make up?
