so i thought id ask on here.

are girls supposed to get wet when they masturbate?

But to simply answer your question, yes. That is completely normal and is all part of the natural female arousal process.

Commiseration was right, it's normal to get wet when you're aroused. It doesn't always happen, but more often than not do women get wet when they're turned on. It all depends on how aroused you are.

I can't believe your teacher wouldn't answer this for you. You would think that since she's a health teacher and you have to discuss sex in eighth grade health anyways that she would at least give you some input on your answer.

I understand why your teacher wouldn't tell you. She could get in a lot of trouble if she was found to be giving 'masturbation advice' to a student. I know that's not entirely what this is, but it could be taken that way, and it's not really worth her losing her job over. The majority of teachers don't even feel comfortable being in the same room as a single student because they could get accused of things, they take their meetings outside where everyone can see them.

But yeah, it's normal. It's actually good, I think it would be pretty painful if you weren't.

Well the OP never said that she had had sex education. But regardless, there is a huge difference between "these are the parts of the male/female body" and "this is what masturbation is like". I don't think a teacher would be allowed to answer questions about what sex is like, so why would they be allowed to answer similar questions about masturbation? Someone could easily say that the teacher had been giving advice on masturbation and how would she defend herself? Better safe than sorry.

wow she shouldnt be a health teacher if she's too embarrassed to answer a simple question. thats not even that hard to answer. the answer is yes it's normal for that to happen. thats a question about biology. do you go to a private school? i went to catholic school and they wouldnt have answered a question like that. they wouldnt even explain what a condom was =P
