Masturbation only makes period pain worse? -

So, I heard that if you masturbate before or during your period, it can soothe cramps a bit. But I've noticed that whenever I do that, it actually makes them worse. Like, if I've been doing it a whole lot before my period, my cramps are worse than normal, and the muscles feel really sore while I'm doing it. So... Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong, or what?

Doesn't sound normal to me...Since sex during your period is also supposed to help.

I have never heard of that before either, I'm sure the "release" when you orgasm is supposed to help the cramps not make them worse! Either way though, the sensible thing would surely to be stop masturbating before your period

It can cause more/worse cramping because when you have an orgasm, the uterus contracts. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but when you're aroused, and more so when you have an orgasm, you have an increased blood flow, which means things down there are a lot more swollen. Could also cause some cramping.
