Okay, So what to do? - March 20th 2011, 03:43 PM

Okay, first off I'm not for sure If this Is the right section or not,
so please do let me know If Its In the wrong spot and possibly
move my thread to the correct place.

There are a few things I don't like about myself, and
I want to know If there Is a way to, change/fix It.
They, of course are small things, but still I just don't like It.
I have hair on my stomach, that I don't want. I like the Idea of
a "Happy Trail" some call It.Another little thing I don't like Is the
fact I have hair on the inside of my legs, but on the back/outside
I don't have hair, and a bunch of "dots" I will call them.

Please, Don't tell me " Oh this Is nothing to change or
worry about " Its how I feel, and what I want to do.

So please let me know what I can do!

You can wax. It's a lot better than shaving. Waxing may hurt a little bit but it will give you smooth results. Shaving can leave nasty bumps and be a little itchy in the beginning, especially since this would be the first time your trying it.
But, believe me, girl's really don't care about stuff like that. It really is nothing to worry about.

Yes, it does. But, it's a lot cheaper than doing laser hair removal. You can buy waxing kits at places like Wal-Greens or CVS, or any other pharmacy. They give you directions on how to do it properly. And, you only have to do it every 2-3 weeks or so.

No. Hair never stops growing, unless your going bald and by which case, I don't think you can go bald on your stomach and legs. Waxing is just a simple and cheap way of removing the hair. Like us girls, the more we shave, the more hair comes in the next time and so on and so forth. Therefore, the more you wax, the heavier your hair gets, but then you just wax again.

You'll have to continuously wax. There is no way around it. The only way to keep the hair to stop growing is to get laser hair removal. And, that's pretty costly.

Also, I should point out, as you get older, the hair will get even thicker and more pronounced, like on your chest for example, the exact amount depending on your genetics, so you really can't avoid it. Also, I should point out, there's a LOT of people who find it unnatural if a guy is completely bald everywhere except his pubes and head, so you probably shouldn't go nuts.
I'm thinking, rather, that the big issue is that maybe you should work on self-esteem and be okay with your body?

I've been on both sides with the wax and the razor and will say this, the wax lasts longer than shaving, but is definitely more painful. I'll also say, do what you need to do to feel comfortable with yourself. Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter! Plus, it's just hair, it grows back anyway. Laser hair removal is the only way to make it stop growing. For a fast way to remove the hair on your legs and stomach, you could try Veet or Nair cream.

Got to be careful with Nair though. Lot's of people have had some weird reactions to it. And, as a down side to it besides the reaction, it's got a real nasty smell.
