Stress causing missed period - September 23rd 2011, 12:42 AM

I know stress can cause a missed period, but can it still do that if you're on the pill?

Definitely. It's less likely, as birth control should regulate your period. But it's still possible. Even more so if your stress level is very high. But if that were the case, you *might* experience other things as well. Such as, but not limited to- migraines, nausea, fatigue, etc. And also, if you have been on birth control for just a few months, your body could still be adjusting to the birth control. Thus making your period late. If you're sexually active, there is always that small change you missed your period due to pregnancy. But really, missed period couuld be chalked up to a lot of things. I would give your doctor a call, just to be sure. Make sure you don't leave anything out, as it could be vital information. Take care.

But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh

I've been on it since April I think? It's been pretty regular. I think I'm getting it now since I'm feeling cramps, but it's a day or two later than I'm used to. I have been stressed lately & I was actually considering pregnancy since I've been nauseous twice within the last couple of weeks when it's been years since I've puked. But I also just got my wisdom teeth removed a couple of weeks ago & I threw up then. So maybe it's the meds I was on? I'll definitely be taking a pregnancy test this week if I don't get it, but I was just curious.
