Fetish getting in the way - October 29th 2011, 02:32 AM

My fetish is very bizarre to most people...
polo shirts.
I don't know what it is about them, but they just really turn me on,wether theyre collar up,all the buttons done up, or just plain normal.but increasingly it it getting in the way of everyday life. In PE, where our uniform is a polo shirt, it is becoming a problem, and as the main fashion is the UK is polo shirts at the moment,I find it hard to go out without becoming aroused over guys and girls wearing them. But my fetish for them is even taking over to such an extent that I want to move school to a polo shirt uniformed one, so I get to wear one all day.I don't even like polo shirts, I don't look good in them, but yet Ive spent dozens of pou ds buying polo shirts to fuel my fetish:/ Anysuggestions on what to do, anyone?

Duncan, fortunately for you, this doesn't actually qualify as a full blown 'Fetish', maybe I'm being too literal here, but a fetish (clinically, at least) is an object that is REQUIRED for sexual arousal and performance. You sound like you just really like polos. The difference is control (or, self control). Use it! Limit your buying, limit your mind wandering when you see one, exert some self control and see what happens.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.

I don't think this is a fetish, per se. It could be that you just find the people who where them extremely attractive...whether it be men or woman. It's not a bad thing, but since you feel it's taking over your life, you should speak to a counselor/doctor about it to find ways of helping. Distractions are always good, but they only work for a while. I wouldn't call it a fetish, I'd say it's more of a preference.

I may wear the glass slippers; But my hero wears combat boots <3 I love you, Lieutenant

I try to issue self control, but it just doesn't work

If it's really getting in the way of your life, then I would advise seeing a doctor who can provide professional advice and support. Yes, it'd be a little embarrassing at first, but worth it in the long run!
