Erm...disgusting but...Help! - November 16th 2011, 09:35 AM

Ok..I am SO not comfortable with posting this, but I'm kinda getting to the end of my tether -.-

Right. Ew. So...I'm having like...severe itching down below. It burns when I pee, it's red and swollen and I'm getting this gross pus-like discharge that doesn't smell. It's making me extremely uncomfortable and I'm too freaked to go to a GP, though I will if this doesn't improve.

I take the minipill - Cerazette [PoP pill], Citalopram and the occassional sleeping pill. I haven't changed shower gel, wash liquid or underwear fabric and I haven't had sex in about 4 months

When I googled this, the only things I can find that fit are Trichomoniasis or Gonorrhea...both of which are STD's. I haven't slept with anyone ever except my fiance.

Hmm. Help? It's grosssssinnng me out.

EDIT: Ok...when I go to the loo, it almost looks like my pee is pink Oh god...

Just a hop, skip and a jump.

I think you REALLY have to go to a doctor. If you urine looks pink, chances are it has blood in it.

BLOOD IN URINE MEANS DOCTOR!

I'm sorry, i've no idea what is going on

Honestly, it sounds like you have a UTI. The symptoms of a UTI are burning while urinating, blood in the urine, itchiness, & frequent need to urinate (even if barely anything comes out). You have to see a doctor to get antibiotics to get rid of it. Once you get those, it'll start feeling better the next day.

Of course, I could be wrong though, because I'm not sure what the discharge could be, but either way, you HAVE to see a doctor.

I agree with Barb. Sounds very much like a UTI. I had one a few months ago, and trying to get rid of it myself didn't work. I would get to a doctor ASAP! Pink urine means that there is mostly like blood in it, and if you leave a UTI untreated, it could be very dangerous.

Sounds like a UTI. Vaginal sex also increases chances of UTI's greatly.

I had a UTI only a couple months back and had similar symptoms. My urine had blood in it..it stung after peeing. I felt a constant need to pee. Go to your doctors and they'll superscribe you some medication. In the mean time drink lots of water and cranberry juice, it may help with the discomfort.

If you have white discharge and itching you more then likely have something as simple as a yeast infection. I get them every couple of months. If it's as severe as it is then go to a doctor and they will give one pill called fluconozole. Just one lil pill and it fixes everything up ASAP. Also yeast infections if you have had them long enough can also give you symptoms just like a UTI. Don't jump to conclusions about STD's and plus if it where the clap or guanorea then you are in luck, it's an STI. Something also very easily fixed with tetracycline (also used for ance medication). But first off I would asume you have a yeast infection of all things and maybe a UTI at the same time. If it where a UTI though you wouldn't have as much itching and you wouldnt have unusual vaginal discharge. For a yeast infection if you do not want to deal with the doctor try mono stat. I hate the stuff though and it takes a week rather then one lil pill. Also to if it becomes a reoccurring problem try taking acidopholious and look into boric acid suppositories. They work wonders!

Seen a GUM nurse and she said it was probably shaving rash O.o No blood/pink pee anymore but it still hurts like a bitch! Less discharge too..but it isn't thrush cause I've had it before and its not the same.

probably nothing. most things just go away on their own. that being said , just cause something is going on "down there" doesnt mean its std, you can get non-std infections on all parts of the body, espescially bodily openings..... .

idk , cause im a guy

id say just try anti-itch stuff. anti-itch pills. maybe the immune system will fight off whatever it is.

anyways, about the citalopram. is that actually doing anything? cause i took that stuff for like 4 years and did nothing. didnt help anxiety at all.

i agree with the others, this sounds like a UTI

Funny you should ask, I came off it about 2 days ago, but no, it did nothing for me, jsut repressed emotions.

Sounds a lot like an infection. You need to see a DOCTOR, not a nurse.

Seriously, if this gets out of control, you could risk the infection travelling back through your urinary tract up to your kidneys which can be deadly!

Hey,
Well, from where I'm standing, it sounds like UTI.
If you haven't gotten it checked out with a doctor, then, I'm thinking, to be on the safer side, that you should. Drink a lot of water. The main cause of UTI is when people don't drink enough water and the impurities have lesser a chance of being flushed out leading to an infection.
Make sure you get your daily requirement of water, which essentially is enough to make your urine transparent, or colourless. At this stage, obviously you won't be able to make out. But try to drink quite a bit of water, so that you can flush out whatever infection there may be.
Take care.

Sounds JUST like thrush to me. I have previously had vaginal thrush for 7 weeks! Annoying.com. When your period comes if it is thrush you will notice that it will stop itching! Hope this helps you

Like other people are saying its probably a UTI, go to see the doctor, don't listen to the nurse, you will have to provide a sample of urine and the doctor can test it for you and give you medication. Don't leave it as if it is an infection it could move further into your body and affect your kidneys, I had one last year (didn't give it much though as I suffered with them a lot as a child) I went to the doctor and took medicine, however it didn't kill all the infection and two weeks later I woke up in total agony because it had infected my kidneys, my back felt like I had been hit by a car, I had a fever and threw up on the way to the doctor, right in front of some woman who just avoided me, how caring of her.

Get it checked out!

It is a UTI or Bladder infection. You should seek the doctor ASAP and get some antibiotics!
