Female Advice Preferred: Should I get circumsized?

I'm a new member, and I don't know if this is appropriate on the forums or not, if it's not I apologize. I am thinking about getting circumsized, but I just thought maybe i'd get some feedback from you girls and see which you prefer? I mean I don't want to make a mistake which isn't something I can revert. Do you prefer un circumsized or circumsized? Does it matter to you girls? Is it a turnoff if you guys are having sex with a guy that has foreskin?

It doesn't matter to me, honestly. I love my guy for who he is, and I wouldn't care if he was circumcised. That's my honest opinion on it. As for you getting circumcised, that choice is yours. You shouldn't let the opinions of others influence such a big choice; if a girl really loved you, it wouldn't matter to her. Do what you want to do.

My boyfriend is circumcised, and it's fine, I don't know what I prefer, he's the only person I've had sex with. However, I would highly recommend you do not do it. For one, it's expensive and really an unnecessary surgery, and two, at your age, it's going to be incredibly painful to heal from. Circumcision is meant for babies, it's fine at that age, you heal faster. This would just be unnecessary. I don't think women overall prefer it enough to change at this point in your life. It's easier to keep clean, that is true, but I'm just not sure it's worth the price/pain. That's my two cents.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. But having foreskin just prevents me from talking to the girl I like because I mean i feel she'll not like it, or refuse to have sex because of my foreskin. I feel like they'll think it's weird..

In my opinion, if a girl really loved you it wouldn't matter to her. It shouldn't have to be something you worry about. If a girl refused to have sex with you because you're not circumcised, then she's definitely not the girl for you.

I've only had sex with two people. One was uncircumsized while my current boyfriend is. I loved them both for who they are, however, I prefer my current boyfriend. TO ME, and this is my opinion only, a circumsized penis generally looks better than an uncircumsized penis.

This decision is entirely up to you, though.

I think there are more things to think about before you make a decision like that. Talk to some guys who have gotten themselves circumcised and see what they say.

- Is the only reason what you think girls will think?

- Have you had sex yet and had a girl say something?

Most girls I know don't care as long as the guy knows how to keep himself clean, although some express a preference for circumcised for looks. As long as your foreskin will retract behind the head it's all the same feeling for the girl, I understand, since a girl gets some sensation from the ridge around the head.

I tried stretching my foreskin, and it honestly grosses me out, and I don't think its attractive at all. So I'm thinking if i dont even like it, clearly other girls won't.

^ Not true. As some of us said here, we don't care whether or not you're circumsized. A girl is going to LIKE/LOVE you for you, not the way your penis looks to them. If they are so worried about what your penis looks like, they aren't worth it.

I've heard sex can be uncomfortable with foreskin, this is your choice, although my boyfriend is circumsized, i would love him even if he wasnt, in general, it is more attractive to me if you are circumsized, but be comfortable with yourself! do what makes YOU happy!

Ive been with a guy that was circumsized, and a guy that wasnt.
Honestly, when i first saw the uncircumsized one, I thought it looked weird (because it was my first experiance coming across one) but really it doesnt change much sensation wise. Besides, I hear its real painful, especially since youre not a new born :P but its your choice.
Its more of a personal choice. Chances are, she wont care either way. A penis is a penis.

This is entirely up to you. A decision like this shouldn't be made on the opinions of others, because EVERYONE is going to have a different opinion. If you want to get circumcised, do it because it is something you want to do, not because you think girls would like it better. This isn't just something like "should I shave or trim down there;" it's a serious decision to make, as it is removing something surgically from your body. Do some research, ask yourself if it is something you really want to do, and go from there.

It's your dick and how you feel about it is entirely your business. If you want to have it done then do it. Some guys do. Like any cosmetic surgery, it's about feeling better about yourself. I'm circumcised and I'm ok with it, though I've always been curious about what it would have been like not to have been.

Honestly, who gives a damn if you have that skin on your penis or not? If she doesn't like it, it's her problem for being shallow. besides, be happy you have a penis, I don't have one. My brother is circumsized, because of health issues. I've heard their more sensative, and stuff, but you should never make a choice about your body for someone else.

First of all, if a girl refuses to be with you because you have a foreskin, she's being absolutely ridiculous. It should be who you are, not whether your penis has been surgically altered.

Next, just thought I'd say that the foreskin has TONS of nerve endings, which means you'd have much less sensation during sexual stimulation--something to keep in mind.

@George: A glans with a foreskin is more sensitive than one without, because the foreskin essentially acts as a mucus membrane. However, unless you plan on touching your glans on a regular basis, this shouldn't be a big worry. The worst thing that will cause you discomfort is when you wash under your foreskin, and there are ways to desensitize your penis so that it isn't as uncomfortable or painful to do that

Brian, a foreskin is not "weird". The majority of men worldwide are uncircumcised. The only reason it's considered abnormal to have one in this country is that a majority of guys have been circumcised for quite a while (although it seems the trend has begun to slow down a bit recently). But that's pretty specific to the United States. Having a foreskin is natural and normal, and there's basically no reason to surgically remove it except in the fairly unusual case that it's too tight and can't be loosened through non-surgical methods. There are few benefits of the procedure, if any, and any girl who thinks it's weird to NOT remove a part of you that you were born with is pretty ridiculous. So don't worry about it!

Well, as for the men saying that it makes it less sensitive, yes there are nerve endings in the penis, and yes, over time the sensitivity decreases for circumcised men. However, the sensitivity isn't much of an issue, statistically, and a penis is perfectly healthy going into salt water without a foreskin, my boyfriend is circumcised and surfs and stuff...it's really fine. Honestly, from a health perspective, it is unnecessary, but they have found benefits such as a lower chance of penile cancer and STIs for circumcised men, only because it is easier to keep clean. If you keep yourself clean, it's unnecessary. And at this age, there is no reason to. Your foreskin has grown in correctly and your penis is healthy, it would just be an unnecessary procedure that would be painful at this age.

If you're only thinking about pleasing a girl, I'm going to say that if you have a nice personality a foreskin would never be a deal breaker. If a girl is using your foreskin as a reason not to be with you, I don't really think she's worth your time. Obviously, people have preferences. I always preferred men in magazines that did not have hair on their chest/belly. But my boyfriend has hair there, and I've never asked him to shave or something stupid because I really just like him, and he doesn't need to do that to please me. You know what I"m getting at? It's not the looks, it's really a lot more about the personality than you are imagining.

I lean towards guys myself, and being that I am fairly biased on the topic, and just kinda picky, I prefer the physical look of an uncircumsised penis. That said, would I be with a boy who had a circumcised penis? Absolutely, as long as their personality was appealing to me. I could frankly care less what his penis is like, I just want someone who's not a jerk and doesn't have extremely different beliefs from me, etc.
