Sexual Activity Poll -

I was talking to one of my friends and then the subject of sex came into our conversation (We're quite comfortable talking about it). And then she stated that some teens our age (13-14) have already started having some kind of sexual activities (HandJobs, etc) that includes another partner or multiple people. So, surprised as I am, was pretty curious at what age do most people start doing such activities.

I was 14 when I began sexual activity with a boyfriend of mine. I gave him hand jobs, while he fingered me. I didn't take the "big step" until 16.

I put 15, but it was really bordering 14-15, I can't remember the exact dates or anything, but I was closer to 15 than 14.
And I consider making out a sexual activity, depending on what kind of making out it is. Sometimes, a little tongue goes into normal kissing, and I don't consider that as sexual as just romantic. But when it's like, you know, making out, on a couch, hands going into fun ares, that's a sexual activity for me, and a quite satisfying one.  Sex is relative to the individual, it's obviously going to differ from gender to gender, culture to culture, person to person.

I think a lot of kids your age are beginning to engage in sexual activities -- too young, in my opinion. At 13-14, you're still figuring out who you are as a person. I feel as though it's difficult to allow someone to love you intimately in that way when you are still working on finding a deeper love for yourself. (And I don't mean to imply that all 14-year-olds are self-hating, naturally. I'm still discovering who I am at 18!) In my eyes, any sexual behavior is a big step that should not be taken lightly. Regardless of age or level of intensity, it is no doubt a responsibility, and I'm not sure all 13-14 year olds are prepared to take that on. I know I certainly wasn't anywhere near ready at that age! My advice? Take it slowly.  Be a kid and have fun. Don't rush into sex, as it will be there down the road when you're older. Right now, I think it's important that you focus figuring out who you are. That will actually benefit you in relationships in the future, considering each person in a relationship should be able to maintain their own identity independently of one another. I think if you jump into the sex/dating scene too soon, you don't quite develop the independence that is so key to a relationship's success.Me? I'm glad I waited. I am now with someone who means the world to me. Don't ever feel pressured.

I had my first kiss at 14, and had kisses at that age involving tongue, but it wasn't really sexual.
However, I first 'made out' with someone when I was 15 (though it would probably have been a lot later if alcohol wasn't involved  ) so that's what I voted on the poll
