When my boyfriend first penetrates me, or when i first slide down onto him, its very uncomfortable and hurts, but as soon as he is all the way in it feels all better, is there a reason behind this?

It could be that at first, you are turned on enough. You may need to do more foreplay or get lube.
It could also be that he's moving into you too past. Try keep the pace slow at first until it's more comfortable. |

This is normal. For me, I'm a bit uncomfortable when my boyfriend first penetrates me (especially if we haven't had sex for a few days or weeks). More foreplay or adding lube to the mix should make things more comfortable for you.
