Question just curious .. - February 5th 2012, 12:22 AM

okay so the reason that birth control pills keep you from getting pregnant is because of the hormones in the pill . well it says that week 4 of the pill doesn't have any hormones so does that mean that if you have unprotected sex on the 4th week of the pill you can get pregnant ?? I just wanted to know because me and my boyfriend frequently have unprotected sex because we both tested for std's and don't have any and i'm on the pill , but i don't want to have sex on the 4th week unprotected and end up getting pregnant . help please , thank you

No, you're covered even while you take the inactive pills. As long as you're taking your pills as instructed for the rest of the month, there is little chance of you getting pregnant at any time of the month.

As said above, the chances of you becoming pregnant while taking your inactive pills doesn't decrease. It stays the same.
