Sex feels uncomfortable for the first time ... - March 23rd 2012, 01:28 AM

I've been sexually active for many years and sex has never felt uncomfortable for me before. I had some funny discharge a while back, went to the docs, they said I just had heavy thrush and gave me a tablet to get rid of it. I'm not sure if it's 100% gone though, because sex feels a little bit uncomfortable, sort of dry if you know what I mean ... and i'm wondering if it means i still have a bit of thrush. Is it worth getting another pill over the counter to make sure I get rid of it completely? Or do I need to go docs to check? I am sick of that place ... lol

Sometimes it's better to forget how you feel
and remember what you deserve

S. M ... still in my heart, forever

I'm a tad confused so bear with me: Is it your first time having sex or is it your first time having sex after being diagnosed with thrush?

Either way, sex could be uncomfortable due to both. Having sex for the first time in general can lead to physical discomfort because you're new to the experience. Sex for the first time after being diagnosed could also be uncomfortable because of a few things: 1) you still have thrush or 2) it's gone, but because it's been a while, your muscles have just tightened a bit.

Either way, I'd go to the doctor for a follow up. You don't want to take any medication just in case your cured from thrush. The medication would just be deemed useless.
