Well, it depends on what you are asking.

The herpes virus has two different types: Herpes simplex I (oral herpes that manifests in the form of cold sores) and Herpes simplex II (genital herpes). With either virus it becomes a part of your system and can flare up at any time; that's why people who have been exposed to Herpes Simplex I and weren't immune get cold sores once in a while; it's in their system. However, most people have been exposed to that strain, and it really isn't anything to be concerned about. All you really shouldn't do if you have it is have oral contact with mucous membranes.

Herpes II is the genital strain, and can only be transferred by sexual contact. HOWEVER, genital-to-oral contact with someone infected with Herpes I can sometimes cause Herpes II.

So if you're question is can you get oral herpes (as in on your mouth) from a virgin, yes. It's transferred by mouth to mouth contact during inflammation (sore).

You can also contract it by engaging in oral sex with a person who has herpes and it currently inflamed.

And, you can potentially give it to someone to someone by performing oral sex on someone while you have an inflamed cold sore.

SO, for HER to give YOU oral herpes (assuming you don't mean through kissing), you would have to go down on her during an outbreak, and since she is a virgin without sexual contact, she won't have herpes. Ergo, you couldn't contract it from oral sex, but you can with kissing.

YES YOU CAN!!!!

Virginity= no penis/vagina penetration. Herpes=oral transmission. You can get or give oral sex and contract herpes..and obviously still be a virgin.

As a very important FYI, herpes is at epidemic levels! be veeeery careful.

yes. just because you're a virgin does not mean you do not have any kind of STD or STI. as McGuffin said about, sometimes, if you have genital-to-oral contact with a person who has a Simplex I break out, it it very possible it could leave you with Simplex II.

Like everyone else is saying "virgin" only means a person hasn't had sex. Someone could have made out with someone or done/received oral sex, or come into contact with someones blood, and bodily fluids are how a lot of STI's are contracted and have intercourse isn't the sole dependent factor.
So yes, it is possible to have some kind of STI while being a virgin. You should probably ask the girl/guy to get tested if you have any concerns.
PS. when I learned about STI's they were still called STD's lol

I know I'm just repeating what has already been said but you don't even have to have a sexual encounter to contract a STI, so be extremely careful during ANY sexual acts.

Well yes, technically. I don't consider a person a virgin if they've done actions that can result in an STI. It's absolutely ridiculous that we, for some reason, consider vaginal-penile intercourse to be this holy thing that defines your entire purity, yet you can do anything else you want and still be "virginal." Rather, you should stay safe, regaurdless of what action you're doing. Condomscondomscondoms. In short, everybody is right. If she has performed oral on somebody, it doesn't matter about her hymen being intact (which doesn't really happen, but we'll ignore that piece), herpes can still be spread.

Rest in Peace Peter.
